Just us Girls #677 and Seconds for Color Hues #63

I really love the assignment Vicki gave for JUGS #677 - and I also LOved her card!

While reorganizing my supplies I found a die from MFT that looks very similar to the darling sunglasses that Vicki has on her card here:

CASEing her card was fun!  Here's my card with an explanation below:

While Vicki's elements were centered, I took mine to the edges!  There are those MFT sunglasses - in fact our beachgoer has found a friend!  LOved Vicki's sentiment.  In fact, I live it - I'm barefoot all year long - in the house of course! My fun sentiment is one from Waffle Flower's Sandy Toes which I heat embossed in white. You'll see that it was kept centered as Vicki's was.

I found a wonderful 'sand' paper in HoneyBee's Vitamin Sea collection.  A few palm fronds from Waffle Flower's Greenery die set.  My 'towels' were embossed with SU's Tasteful Texture and fringed with MFT's mini fringe die.

yes, Vicki, it is time to bring out my favorite Summer stamps, too!  Thanks so much for this fun challenge!  Since I used the combo from Color Hues #63, I'll be sharing my card there, too.

Color Hues #63, NBUS #50

DT member Hannelie has a fun color combo for us at Color Hues #63 - you know I'm not known for my love of color but after a bit of purging in my studio over the last two weeks, I found a stamp that just makes me smile and hadn't yet seen ink!  I had been saving it for a special day of play that sadly didn't happen - it was high time they came out to dance!

Enter my conga line of critters from Colorado Craft Co... there are some tell-tale signs that they did a little snacking along the line ...

That very big cake is also from CCC and was stamped first in Copic-friendly ink, colored in colors closest I had to those in the prompt, then over-stamped with VersaFine Clair ink.  I did a little fussy-cutting and popped my cake off the edge and popped up on my A2 side-folded card base.  The critters were treated the same way and popped atop my cake.  A little celebratory Stickles was added to the party.

Here's another thing to celebrate... I'm finally remembering to add my first-time use of this stamp to the NBUS Challenge #50!!!  [50?? goodness it has taken me long enough - sorry, D!!]

Thanks, Hannelie for prompting one last use of this cake before it goes in the purge-stack for the next card-maker to enjoy!
