Color Hues #113 - Red and White!

Tracey McNeely gave me just the kick in the pants I needed to get busy making Christmas cards today!  How can you beat a Red & White color combo for Christmas??

Sit back and relax I have four cards for you today!

First:  a CAS pair of cards that took only moments to make a twofer!

This is that lovely Spellbinders Stylish Merry Christmas die from a few years ago -
still stylish in my humble opinion!  A bright and crisp POPPY paper from C&9th
really make these pop!

Using a little care when making the first cut, one is able to add debossing [Waffle Flower Dashed Snowflakes] or embossing [Spellbinders Ski Lodge] to the negative panel before replacing the Merry Christmas!
I 'spruced' them up with one of SSS Pretty Bows and an itty-bitty EH tree from my snippets!

I picked a few sets from Spellbinders for the other two made today:  Simon Hurley's Playful Penguins and Santa - always makes me smile!  I made sure I kept all the cardstock, besides red and white, within their rules this time!  Aren't you proud of me?? lol

Your little eye might spy that new Finishing Touches stitching from C&9th and
Kristina Werner in the background.
I know I'm going to be using this PTI Skinny Ric Rac a LOT this Christmas!

Thanks so much Tracey!

Last but not least.... heeeeeeeeeeere's Santa!!

Crank these dies back and forth a few extra times in your machine to get all
his wonderful details - like those whiskers and eyebrows!

I still had a few holiday sentiments from 2024 in my stash - always welcomed
for a quick finish!

You'll have to run by Color Hues #113 to see which one made the cut... hey, while you're there, why not play along?

Wowza--I love the penguins and that fabulous Santa, but those first two really appeal to me! That bow is amazing as are the backgrounds! Red & white is always a good Christmas combo!

Wow, once you got going, you really rocked the red and white challenge! I love the card you posted on Color Hues, but I'm totally in love with those first two cards! Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues.

You have definitely made our red & white challenge SHINE with all 4 of these FABULOUS cards Michele! I give you props for dealing with that fiddly die cut Merry Christmas on your first 2 cards...you definitely have more patience than I do! So worth it though as both cards are wonderful! Your penguin trio is soooo dang CUTE Michele...absolutely love every little detail about that card and so glad you shared it with us at Color Hues! And your Santa card is just as adorable and I'm loving all the detail on that die! Wonderful post my friend and YAY for more to add to the Christmas stash!! Hugs. :0)

All of these make the cut in my opinion, Michele! I tip my hat to you for using the Merry Christmas twice and I love the embossing/debossing on both! And that bow is awesome! Ric Rac and fun penguins are a perfect match and I amazed at all the detail on the Santa! All are great additions to your Christmas stash!

Well, there is a lot to love about this post, Michele! You certainly make an simple color duo of red and white look good! I have a soft spot for this Santa die and the way you colored his face is just perfection! Love those penguins and your two cards where the sentiment is the focal point as well. Your cards consistently are just perfect! Thanks for playing along at Color Hues.

Gosh, there's so much to love here! That big, beautiful sentiment looking striking in the red and white. Love the little accents on the tail of the 'S' -- my favorite bow set, and that darling little tree. The penguins totally steal my heart. You know how I love a cute and fun card like this. The stitching and ric rac frame need to go on my wish list with a bazillion other things. The Santa has the jolliest expression, and the embossed detail is amazing. Fabulous and fun cards here, Michele!

What a fabulous array of red and white Michele! Love the embossed red panel and those penguins are so cute too. Add the Santa in the mix and I'd be hard pressed to let any of those go at Christmas! So pleased our red and white challenge at Color Hues got you to add to your Christmas stash. :)

Making Christmas cards is what I planned to do at the lake but it's been too nice to stay inside. You have been busy with yours and the CAS two-fers are gorgeous, Michele. The penguins are so fun and that Santa is one of the best I've seen.

Great way to get two lovely Christmas cards with that fiddly Merry Christmas die (I have trouble with it). Then you went on to create more fun red & white Christmas cards with the snowfolk and Santa. . Love them all.

Wow! I thought I was coming here to drool over one fabulous card and I got multiples of fabulousness. These are outstanding. Now I want that Merry Christmas die but I'm sure it's gone. Thanks for playing with us Michele.
