Color Hues #114

My sweet friend, Bonnie is our host with the most over at Color Hues #114 and she has such a wonderful color combo for July!

While I was inspired by the Shasta Daisies growing gangbusters in my front
garden bed, a few other sets grabbed my attention..

I'm going to have one heck of a time choosing between these two today.

I went straight to my stash of colored cardstock and die cut all the bits
and pieces of each set then blended a little extra color for added punch.

Those lemon leaves reminded me of this SB Leafy embossing folder,
so, it was an easy decision to use it for my cover panel.

BUT! since yellow roses are so beautiful, how does a girl resist?

I love that texture from the card stock I used - it reminded me of
the background of this old Regency Swirls EF from Crafters Companion.

Be still, my CAS loving heart!  I think you know which card will
be found in the Color Hues gallery - but you should go see for yourself.
AND PLAY ALONG!  There's plenty of time to make even more than two!

Why can't BOTH lovely cards be in the showcase? They are both divine, with great elements in both. Both background folders are great, though I'm not sure I've seen the last one before -- maybe I just didn't remember seeing the texture behind the swirls? Either way, both are winners in my book, Michele!

They are both winners in my book too Michele, but maybe my CAS loving heart likes the floral just a titch better, but just a teeny, tiny titch better!! I'm loving all the texture in the lemon card and all that wonderful GREEN too! Still lots of texture to love in the floral card too though, and I do love yellow roses! Yep, they are both winners and so happy you joined us with both these beauties at Color Hues my friend!! Hugs. :0)

Wow. These are amazing! I am in love with the embossing folders...you really have a knack for making them stand out. Of course, the flowers and lemons are pretty special too!

Two lovely cards Michele. The lemon card is so pretty - I have had that die for several years and have never used it. I better get it out and give it a play. Thanks for the inspiration. Of course, I love the flower card with the pretty texture showcasing the yellow rose - I knew that one would win out. :)

Hard to pick a fav here Michele...the bold crispness of your lemons grabs me. Yellow roses are a favorite bloom of mine and that is a spectacular card with that embossed panel. I could pick with my eyes closed and not make a wrong choice!

Oh, gosh, I just made a lemon card for the color challenge, but I haven't had time to photograph it yet, geez. Great minds, right? I love your lemon set. It's so cute with lots of texture and parts to fit and layer. Can a girl have too many lemon sets? I may have to add more to my collection! Love the rich green leafy background. The rose is just as gorgeous, and the EF is divinely elegant! Just had to take a peek and now I'm off and running again. Have a good rest of the day!

Those lemons look so ripe and juicy and make me wish for a glass of ice cold lemonade! That beautiful flower begs to be touched and shows beautifully on that embossed panel. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Color Hues!

Oh my, Michele, both of these cards are gorgeous. You are such a card artist. I love the texture you use on your cards. They are pint size works of art. Thank you so much for sharing!

I don't often think to use a dark background but you've changed my mind on that, Michele. The embossed green behind the lemons is a glorious way to show them off. CAS is good too, and your roses shine on a white embossed panel.

I have missed seeing your beautiful works of art while I have been away. These two are both amazing. I have the lemon die set but hardly use it but you have given it a whole new perspective with its gorgeous green background. Your floral card is an absolute beauty and the embossed panel is magnificent !!> The textured card you used with it is fabulous and really makes me want to reach out and touch it.

So much lemony lime goodness! You used one of my favorite Altenew blooms and it's never looked more gorgeous in yellow! And your lemons look stunning against the leaf embossed background.

Love the matching EF background and lemony goodness on card #1, Michelle. And your floral rose is just as pretty in shades of yellow. Thanks for playing along at Color Hues and sorry for my delay in stopping by, our son has been in town!

Why do I never think to go back to my old scrapbooking cardstock stash to use the twenty year old textured Bazzill? This is amazing!!! So much depth. And another two-fer. We love you here at Color Hues you know, right? Thanks for playing!
