Hello, my friends! Here we are in December, and we've come to the last post from The Flower Challenge - for THIS year!! I know I echo my entire team when I say thank you for playing along with our Challenge at some time in 2022 - there are those of you who never miss a month, and for that we are especially grateful!
Those that know me also know that I have a deep love of Poinsettias - since we only have this one post in December [no reminder as the challenge closes on December 15th] I'm treating you to both of my cards ... generous, aren't I? lol
This Modern Poinsettia is from Altenew and introduced in 2019
It was first die-cut then treated to a good smooshing of ink from acetate.
Stamped in Versafine Black Onyx ink and clear embossed after it was dry to the touch.
This next one will be my way of saying 'happy New Year!' too, as
I am so thankful for all of you that have visited me here in 2022!
Dawn's [Wplus9] ink-daubing-spritzing technique was applied to this
Festive Poinsettia from Altenew c.2018 I then used the coordinating die to cut
it, and embossed the balance with Altenew's Angled Mosaic embossing folder.
After stamping my sentiment on a long strip of paper, I thought why not
place it vertically? The space left for cutting became the perfect intersection for
that leaf!
Okay, it's time for me to send you on your way back to The Flower Challenge to be treated to plenty of cheer from the entire team.
Merry Christmas!

These are so splashy and bright! Beautiful!
These are both absolutely BEAUTIFUL Michele, but your 2nd card has totally stolen my heart!! I think it's that embossed background and how you placed your sentiment vertically...I just love everything about this card!! Now I need to go digging through my Poinsettia stash and see what I can come up with before the 15th! Hugs. :0)
Two very special poinsettia cards. Great smooshing on the first and what a stunning embossed background on the second. great idea with the sentiment, it works a treat. Hope I have caught up now! xx
These are both so beautiful, trying to decide which I love more, mmm both are outstanding, each in their own way.
Thank you for not only your amazing cards throughout the year but also for the wonderful posts you write each and every time, always remembering to say the things that are needed and I never remember to say xx hugs Aileen
It's always a treat to see as many cards as you'd like to share! I love that you have a special fondness for poinsettias because you sure make some gorgeous cards with them. The smooshed colors on the first card have stolen my heart!
Two more GORGEOUS poinsettias, Michele! Your acetate smooshing always looks so good and so does the technique on the second card. Both are a challenge for me. You need to come and give me a lesson, my friend!
Here's a math formula: (The Flower Challenge + Christmas theme) x Michele = Gorgeous poinsettias. ;-P
I'm so impressed that you have so many variations of your poinsettia cards, Michele! The organic feel you created by using smooshing and ink-daubing-spritzing techniques brought life to the poinsettias. Love the ink colors going over the backgrounds!
Hideko xx
These are fantastic, Michele! Love the colors on the first one. Thanks for the double dose of treats!
Your creativity and inspiration never cease to delight and inspire, Michele! Both cards are so amazing, my friend. Have a very, very Merry Christmas!
Ah, a twofer! I love the variety of Altenew's poinsettias of which I have at least four different sets. Your CAS style has shown them off so well. Fabulous color combinations, too!
So lovely! Thank you for sharing. I hope you are having a beautiful holiday season. Crafty hugs!
I never get bored seeing all the ways you color poinsettias of all types and sizes, Michele. Both cards are fantastic!
There you go again -- making pretties with your poinsettias! Love the dimension too
I know where to go when I need a poinsettia fix...fab!
I love the clean and simple design with gorgeous watercoloring (both smooshing and ink daubing) on both of your cards, Michele!
Wishing you a lovely holiday season!
You love of poinsettia's and your execution of them on a card are amazing! I love poinsettia's too, but not sure I can pull off one like yours. lol I am going to try though, as I have the second poinsettia on my desk to use now. God only knows what it will look like, if it turns out half way, I will share...if not, I won't! lol Love both of these gorgeous cards and gorgeous poinsettia's! Hugs, Brenda
You are the Queen of Poinsettia Art, M! I've never seen one you've done that I didn't fall in love with and I'm delighted to be inspired by two more wowzers! I am honored to be December's GD and I appreciate your comments! Happy Christmas! Hugs, D
Yes, you certainly the poinsettia queen of the universe, and I bow to you! Nobody does it better... these are both gorgeous, of course. I particularly love the coloring in the first.
