I've set my mind to do a bit of no-line coloring for July - I hope you enjoy it! For this week I've chosen a favorite that I only WISH I could get blooming in my own yard!
Here's that peek - hope you'll head over to the Doodlebugs Blog for the full reveal!
I know it's going to be gorgeous! On my way!
You always wow me Michele, this card is stunning! I love your no line watercoloring. I can imagine this took two days to complete! It shows as it is perfect in everyway. Love the cas design, it lets those gorgeous blooms take center stage, perfect sentiment too.
Here is a little video that might help you with your hydrangea's:
I can already tell this is going to be beautiful!
Love, love, love this my friend! A beautiful hydrangea! You are making it hard not to shop!
Gorgeous watercolouring. I have hydrangeas, but keep them in pots because it is just too dry for them where I live. Fortunately they always flower, but you have to remember that they flower on last seasons growth, so if you cut them back each year you won't get any flowers. If you don't cut them back they can get very leggy so I think the idea is to cut back around a third of the shoots every year. Don't know if that's your problem, just a thought xx
Gorgeous hydrangea colored with the no-line watercoloring technique, Michele! The colors are just beautiful, and the light wash in the background brings out the beauty in the flowers. I would be happy if I had these watercolord hydrangea in my hands even if I didn't have real ones in my yard. :-)
Beautiful no line stamped and watercolored hydrangeas, Michele. TFS your detailed description of your pretty watercoloring technique. Watercoloring does take longer because of all the layering, but so worth the effort. TFS Love and Hugs..Nancy
Beautiful! Lovely hydrangeas just make beautiful cards, yours does not disappoint!
Absolutely gorgeous! I left a comment on the other blog, but also want to reiterate what Hilary said about trimming. They say it's best to trim hydrangeas while they're still in bloom. That's hard to do, but I make an effort every other year. They grow like weeds here.
Absolutely gorgeous card, Michele! You did such a great job watercoloring the Hydrangeas...I'm so impressed! xx
