A Colorful Life - more stencils to love!

Hello friends!  I have another fun day of play with stencils from A Colorful Life Designs to share - so happy to be their guest designer this month.  Today I present one of their newest releases: Butterfly Flight!  paired with their Groovy Flower Mask!

For their maiden flight, I used the mask as it was intended using my blending brushes and distress oxide inks.  Then after drying, I went back in with a sparkly jelly roll pen to outline the butterflies - tough to see but I think you get the idea.

Sentiment from Altenew.

The perfect image for a full sized slimline card!
Don't they appear to be taking flight from my groovy garden?

BUT WAIT!!
Before you clean the ink off of that stencil, spritz it with a fine mist of water, and flip it over onto a piece of clean paper - Neenah Solar white 110# card again for me.

Sentiment and die from Altenew

While I still had the inks out, I treated another A2 piece to the reverse inking of the
Groovy Flower mask:

The sentiment and die comes from Altenew.

I used my micro pen to outline the butterflies in black, then cut a stitched
panel from the center after it had all dried.
Adding a few Marty Stewart punched butterflies brought a little more drama, don't you agree?

Let me tell you, it was really tough choosing which stencils to work with from all those offered at A Colorful Life Designs - they ALL are groovy from my view!  I know you'll find the perfect match for your own personality!

Thanks for stopping by!

These are brilliant! I am doing lots of stenciling, but have not tried the flip animist technique on anything but a gel press. While never a fan of yellow, that last card is an absolute mind-changing stunner. You seriously rocked it, crafty one. Love visiting here for such eye-dropping inspiration!

Wow, look at these cards Michele, they are all fabulous! First off, I am loving that butterfly stencil you used. The first card is so fun and yes, looks like butterflies bursting up from your groovy flower power garden. lol Love it and love the sentiment. You got such a great monoprint from your stencil and I can clearly see those butterflies bursting forth, but in a more subtle way. Love the sentiment and the label you die cut. Last card is just so cheerful. Love the yellow flower power flowers, the black outlined butterflies give such a drama look with the added MS butterflies-love, love, love all three very different looking cards! Hugs, Brenda

I think I'm going to have to invest in some stencils. Your use of them is magnificent, Michele. Doing the reverse give a whole new look and gives you twofers which is always a good thing when you need more cards.

Groovy is the word I would use, as well as elegant. Love flutterbys in flight or just sitting still. Love the busy garden and it's negative sister and the last card with the added drama is exquisite.

Absolutely gorgeous x 3! The first and last cards are fun and pretty, and the second card reminds me how I never ever want to clean off a stencil without spritzing and "stamping" it first. Dreamy!

What great examples of how versatile stencils can be and how much you can get out of one inking. I have a stencil very similar to that (different make though) I think you might have inspired me to get it out xx
