The Paper Players

The Paper Players, and my friend Joanne, have the most beautiful color challenge this week - once again, I ask you: how could I resist?

I received a few wonderful little Alexandra Renke die cuts tucked inside a pretty birthday card - perfect time to use them!

Goodness, between the gloomy day, and that elusive silver, this was a photo nightmare!  Here are a few closeups.  I added a bit of Gansai Tambi white gold water color pigment to my wreath, and splattered it onto my patterned paper, too.

Another fun sentiment from The Stamp Market - and a VERY old bow die from MFT?

Thanks, Joanne, for choosing all my favorite colors, and to your entire team for the gorgeous inspiration!

My, my. You must live right. A preferred color palette and a chance to use a gift, and you've done it so beautifully. Love this sweet card.

Michele this card is so fabulous on so many levels! The texture of the wreath, the detail and splatter on that background panel, a perfect heat-embossed sentiment and a sweet bow to finish. A nightmare to photograph I know (my cards were too!!) but it is easy to see the beauty here. Thanks for playing along with my colour challenge over at The Paper Players this week - we are lucky to have you!

Of course you had to play along Michele, there was the color gray involved. lol I love your card! The gray and silver is so beautiful together. That wreath die is amazing, I can imagine how hard it was to photograph this card, but it is amazing and looks so beautiful! Hugs, Brenda

This is awesome, Michele! I can see the beautiful shimmer of the white gold paint and silver embossing in the close-up! The die-cut wreath looks happy to be in your hands! :-) The dark background panel highlights the brightness of the metallic color, and its pattern with the paint spatters add so much interest and depth to the card. I'll definitely case your card using my AR dies!!
