"You're so cool...

... and I'm not even mad about it!" J.A. Ebersole - Artic Pals circa 2018

Hi my friends!  Just wanted you all to know that I'm still kicking - thanks to all of you for your visits, even though my cards have been limited lately.   I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm having an even worse case of the Winter Blues than usual.  What better time than this to do a little tidying up in my craft room, right?

As I was changing out my calendar, I stumbled across a particularly incredible photo and thought "this would make the coolest card - how can I recreate it?"  Well.  Like this:

Julie's artic pals did the trick, and a bit of water coloring - rudimentary at best.

THIS guy, says it all!

Have a really cool day!

Oh what? Rudimentary?
This is awesome.
I LOVE how you've captured the snow and the movement of those penguins,
and also managed to inject some fun in there.

I agree, many are going through a down time right now...January blues, political blues, Covid blues, you name it! But this fun little creation certainly cheered me up! I love it! Hang in there kid, I am praying for everyone!

For California we are having a "real cool day" so this card fits in nicely. I think you've underestimated your watercoloing...rudimentary isn't the right word...you've capture the Southern Arctic vibe perfectly. Watching those penguins diving into the sea makes my belly shiver. Nice going, girl...great card.

I always hate January, it is a real struggle at the best of times and of course we are far from the beast of times at the moment. Your card is a brilliant re creation of that calendar picture and your watercolouring is pretty impressive if you ask me xx

A delightful shivery scene! I love that crew of penguins! You are spot on with your penguin parade! I however will not be diving into the icy water! I have been diving into books by the fire to keep me entertained.....and my mind off of all the craziness......

I have missed you! You are a wizard at interpreting pictures onto a card, my friend! What fun and that last little guy looks like he's saying "what have I done?" I hope you find something to smile about today. Maybe even laugh out loud!

Well you have outdone yourself once again! Your water coloring is stupendous and captures that cold and stormy water and sky. And those penguins!!!! This is an awesome creation, Michele. I love it so much. And I got you about this winter and it's bluest blues... I've been feeling so teary lately. This card made me warm and smily even though it's a cold and stormy scene. Hugs.

No motivation here with anything Michele! Not good either. Yes, winter blues I think covers it. Or is it Covid Fatigue, I don't know but I know I have it as well. I can't believe how well you you CASed this calendar page! Your card is amazing!!!!Not rudimentary, just amazing! I love the wintery sky you mimicked, the water-it is so perfect, but then you got the movement of those penguins as well. Again, just amazing! Yep, that little guy's face says it all and is how I'm feeling as well. lol To cute, to amazing, I'm in awe! Hugs, Brenda

Michele, your card fabulously portrays the fun these penguins are having on a frigid day.
I'm hear to offer you a hug for your winter blues. Thanks for telling us how you're feeling, I think many of us are in this place. Covid fatigue nails it.

I’m so sorry to hear that you are having the Winter Blues, Michele… I remember you mentioned it in one of your blog posts last winter too, and I feel for you.
You did an amazing job of recreating the calendar photo! Love the icy colors of the sky and the ocean! Adding dimension by popping up a penguin and inserting a head in the ocean is so clever! The penguin in the top left corner makes me smile. :-)
