I'm ready for the first CASE this Sketch of 2021 - how about you??
It's a beauty from Donna ... and it just so happens Santa brought me a package I could premier using her Sketch!
It started by choosing a few inks, and grabbing my blending brushes, and this lovely new set of Tranquility Rose Stencils from Altenew...
The stripes from Donna's Sketch were made by cutting my finished panel, and embossing the smallest two with a Stampin' Up subtle texture embossing folder. Here's a little closer look...
After all those strips were reassembled, I placed my card in my Mini MISTI and stamped a sentiment from MFT* with the darkest of my oxide inks.
I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see Donna's card ... shall we? See you there, and then I'll see you again in our CTS403 gallery, right?
*MFT Flowers in Bloom for sentiment
Perfection...those subtle blues and greys are delicious. The texture you added is just the right touch to set off that gorgeous rose.
Fabulous card, Michele, love the colours you've chosen and that embossing is just the perfect little added detail, Jo x
Absolutely beautiful use of colour here Michele, makes for such a serene design!
WOW!!! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Michele! I love the grays and greens together and your "subtle" stripes, although I would have been pretty nervous cutting into that beautifully stenciled flower!! Lovely, lovely card!! Hugs. :0)
This is BREATHTAKING!! I am loving your beautiful color choices!!
Would you just look at this beautiful card! Well done, my friend, well done!!
Stunning card Michele! Genius idea to cut the panel and emboss the strips - Awesome!
Happy New Year, Michele. What a stunner this is! Thanks so much for sharing it and your talents.
This is gorgeous! The colors and details of the stenciled image are beautiful, and the added embossing is perfect!
What a gorgeous rose, Michele! I love how you've done it in the subtle colors and the two embossed stripes add such wonderful texture and interest!
Wow, wow, wow!!! This card is stunning! First off, I didn't know there were layered stencils out-yes, I still live under my rock. lol Secondly, you did such a beautiful job of inking those stencils up, lining them up. I'm just in awe! So gorgeous is this card, the embossed stripes-they are so subtle, but yet so fabulous. I'm just so wowed right now. I don't even know what to say and THAT doesn't happen often! Hugs, Brenda
Absolutely stunning and I am in love with your chosen color pallette!
That was very brave of you to cut the panel like that and it went back together so seamlessly, I am sure that would never have worked for me. Anyway the finished effect is stunning, I love it xx
You talked about like minds, Michele. I used those same colors, minus Hickory Smoke for a card I did for JUGS that will show up in a few weeks. Plus I got that stencil too. I haven't had a chance to use yet though. I love how you used those subtle colors. So you!
Swooooooooooooooning over this one. What a gorgeous palette. And those strips! Almost too much to bear... :)
Be still my heart...your rose is absolutely gorgeous, Michele! Using pastel green for the bloom and gray for the leaves was brilliant! LOVE your subtle embossing, too! Stunning card, my friend! xx
G O R G E O U S
How do you think of such things!?!?!? I love the two embossed panels tucked in there! It is all in the details! Beautiful card!
Warm, soft and soothing beauty with your new Altenew Tranquility Rose Stencils, Michele. TFS Love and Hugs...Nancy
What a beauty, Michele! Those stencils make life so much easier, don't they?
Oh My Goodness, Woman! Does your brain never cease? Gorgeous flowers (I still can't layer for beans), then you cut apart your brilliant piece to texturize a couple strips then fit them all back together? You are TOO much, but we appreciate your brilliant cards :o)
What beautiful subtle colours and 'Wow' to the stencilling x. A stunning card and love the creative embossed stripes Michele x.
This is so elegant and beautiful, Michele! The color combo gives the rose an icy feeling and how you added the embossed strips is so clever and seamless!
Happy New Year mf.
