I downloaded this book onto my Kindle, read three pages, and that was it!!! lol but I sure do love the title, and cover... turns out I had almost everything I needed for my Library Challenge #36 card close at hand in my snippets bin!
Some of you may remember the card using the die cuts - these were some of those 'can't throw them away' remnants!
A Rainbow of a different design, for sure... but I'm okay with that!
Pinkfresh Dainty Blossoms dies
EBE Pure Magic for sentiment
Great use of your snippets, and a fabulous card for the challenge.
Clever way to use these reverse die cuts....I usually toss mine away! And after reading a review of the book....well, the cover is intriguing, I'll just say that!
Gorgeous card! Not sure i could read this book now, but when I was younger I seem to recall liking it, Jo x
Awesome! What a fantastic way to use your scraps!!!
ooh and stitching... did you get the machine to work? ps love your take on the colours and funky design from the book cover!
Great use of all those remnants, fun idea and great take on the challenge front cover x. Love the sentiment too x.
I spy some sewing on your marvelous card, are you and your machine getting along??!!
Love your funky rainbow and a fun use of your snippets! You even got a little sewing included!
Love this, Michele! These colors are among my faves. What a cool use of the leftover pieces.
Love your use of scraps! Pretty colors!! So...what you're telling me is that I shouldn't bother with the book? LOL!
Sweet colors and wonderful use of snippets!
Yeah- DH is not everyone's cup of tea. I couldn't read "The Rainbow" either. Another clever interpretation of the challenge Michele! I have a stash of snippets too. Need to go through them.
I'm so glad you didn't pitch these remnants, Michele...they're perfect for your card! Such a happy take on the inspiration photo!
Now, I would love to know why you only read 3 pages of this book...I'm sure it's an interesting explanation :)
I am loving your rainbow of a different design Michele! What a great way to use up the negative cutouts. I also love the cute sentiment. Was the book boring that you never finished it? lol Hugs, Brenda
You make any leftovers look pretty, Michele! Love the stitched line!
Happy 4th! The fireworks just started here in LA. (I'm sure they're over by now in your area.)
You're so organized you plan ahead and cut your dies in the center of the paper so you can use the remnants, Michele. I used remnants to make more remnants. lol They did go together beautifully and also with the sentiment.
How clever! Waste not, want not never looked so good. Thanks for joining The Library
Cool, clever and so so pretty, Michele ... love that stitched detail! Hugs, Anita :)
A fresh new look at a rainbow! What a feat, Michele, and I love that you used those precious snippets that are so pretty :o)
