Arming myself with a favorite Altenew set [Exotic Tulips], a few blue Distress Oxides, a piece of acetate, and a mini mister, I made the most beautiful mess...
By placing your stamp onto a block, then smooshing it into the wet ink, one can get the most wonderful water-color-y stamped images. This time I used 110# Neenah to stamp on - I love the look of a one-layer card! Tell me what you think...
From blue-green, to blueprint... I think I've conquered my dislike for blue, and we've become the best of friends!
Clean, cleaner, cleanest … you'll have to follow me to the CAS Watercolour gallery to see which card made it to the Challenge!
I am stunned, and honored! Thank you!
I too, have an aversion to blue, but you did a fabulous job with it here Michele.
They are all gorgeous, but 'cleanest' is my fav.
I'm not a blue fan either...but I am intrigued by blue flowers. Yours are fa-BLUE-lous for sure.
Never would have known you had an aversion to blue after seeing these 3 beauties Michele!! I love them all, but have to admit I like the last card with the single tulip best...well, maybe I like the 2nd one best...oh, I can't decide...they're ALL BEAUTIFUL!! Thanks so much for sharing them all with us at CAS Watercolour Michele!! :0)
Aversion to blue? That is BLASPHEMY in my book!! It is my favorite color!! Your cards do not look like you have an aversion to the color, though. They are GORGEOUS!!
I knew you could do it, Michele! You have conquered blue and done it splendidly! I can't decide which I like the best! Thanks so much for giving in and joining CAS Watercolour this month! (Will we be seeing more blue over here?)
You really challenged yourself, Michele..you ended up designing 3 beautiful CAS Blue Tulip cards:-) I am impressed...loved them all. Off to see, which card you chose for the challenge:-) Hugs...Nancy
Well I hope you've been converted to my fave colour blue, because your cards are stunning my friend:) Thanks for taking the challenge at CAS Watercolour Challenge.
Oh my, Michele! These are gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. You definitely jumped in with this challenge and knocked it out of the park. I think it's fascinating that you say you don't like color and yet you are remarkably creative in the use of it. I so appreciate your honesty and creativity!
You sure brightened my day with these glorious CAS cards. The blues/greens look wonderful Michele and love the artsy and watercolour look x.
Yay to number two making it onto the challenge.....I love it x
They are all gorgeous!
Oh, what a treat!! Three beautiful cards. You should do blue more often, it looks good on you ;)
OH, yes, you did it and fabulously! I love your idea of smooshing - a great technique and your results are gorgeous. I often forget that a technique can be clean and simple. You are inspiring, Michele!
Stunningly gorgeous cards Michele! x
Breathtaking, M! For me the award ribbons would say BEST, BETTER, BRILLIANT! Just WOW!! Hugs, D
Smooshing is something I just might be able to do! Beautiful blue flowers!
You certainly have become the best of friends with blue...your cards are so artistic and exotic, Michele! Great job playing with your DI's, Michele...I'm so impressed!
Love the three versions - definitely getting more CAS by the third one! Wonderful use of shades of blue. Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Watercolour - the one you posted for our challenge is my favourite of the three cards.
I quite like blue . . . . .but WOW, what you have created with it is amazing, I totally love all 3 of these cards. X
Gasp, Michele ... these are beautiful ... I love blues and you used these delicious colours so perfectly (as you do every other colour palette!) ... what loveliness! Hugs, Anita :)
Gorgeous blue tulip cards, Michele! Blue is not your favorite color? Nobody would believe it after looking at these beautiful cards. I love the way inks blended. The second one is my favorite design-wise.
It's refreshing to see more lovely stamped images and NOT just die cuts plopped on a card and calling it a day! Your cards are elegant...and love ALL the blues!
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Absolutely Fab-blue-lous, Michele.
Amazing! And you DON'T like blue? I think not because you just made some pretty perfect cards that are GORGEOUS!
For someone who doesn't like blue ... you've made three gorgeous blue cards Michele! Great work! Tulips are gorgeous. Love the clean, cleaner, cleanest designs! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour! xx
