I recently won a prize from Uniko ... you all probably own tons of Bev's beautiful products - me? Not one! But I have driven 2.5 hours to borrow a set ... you've heard that story, I'm sure.
The Gerbera set has been on my wish-list for years! Guess what? I was lucky twice, because it's often out of stock! It seemed the right time to use it ... thank you darling Bev!
yes. she loves you! Our life together, should be celebrated daily!
I chose to do another bit of heat embossed stamping on my card base, as I had done on my 1st card - repeating the phrase "celebrate life" - a play on Time Out's inspiring words.
The team and I hope we have inspired you with our cards, and words ... see you in the gallery!
Thank you to Time Out for the prize, the pleasure of playing cards with your team! and to you all ... thanks so much for spending a few moments with me today!
Supporting supplies - for the embossed words: W&W The Big the Bold and Extras, The Big the Bold and the Happy, In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet and dies - for those falling petals! Colored with Prismacolor pencils, embossed onto Toned Gray Sketch paper from Strathmore.
I really love how you do that background embossing, it gives a lovely texture. Not sure I would have the patience! And so pleased you got Bev’s set in time. Gorgeous use of the colour and love the soft falling leaves. It has been a delight having you as GD x
I don't own any either but now I want this daisy! hehe Gorgeous! Fabulous card Michele!
Now I am itching for it too! That is one fab flower for sure and you have shown it off so well twice now.
This is one really gorgeous Gerbera Daisy, Michele! I love that you chose a non-traditional color palette and your embossed background is stunning! Such a beautiful CAS card, my friend!
You really created a beauty! Love your Colours and textures❤️ Stunning!
Congratulations, Michele. A well deserved win for sure! So happy for you that you finally got the stamp set you've been wanting...maybe pining for. You've definitely used it beautifully on this card. Love the daisy in green. The embossed background is terrific. What a great design idea (you have SO many of those)! And the challenge quote is awesome. Thank you SO much for sharing!
The dropping petals was the perfect final touch, Michele. I need to remember the embossed sentiment background. I love that look.
This is lovely. Your embossing and coloring is wonderful and inspiring. Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer at Time Out.
The shade of green you've chosen is delicious Michele!! This is such a pretty card!
Love, love this card! The daisy looks wonderful in green (my favourite colour) and the subtle embossing on the background is lovely. Great work.
And I remember that trip over very well indeed! Must make a trip to you this summer. xx
That embossed sentiment background is just so fabulous, Michele ... subtle, stylish and deliciously texture-y behind that beautifully coloured gerbera with it's tumbling petals ... a stunner! So happy you joined us as our Guest Designer over at Time Out! Hugs, Anita :)
Beautiful Michele, like you ;) Soft and elegant!
Congrats on the Guest Designer at TO. xx
Wow I love those daisies.....wonderful with the background!
This is so gorgeous, Michele! I love the soft colors you used, so unique color combo for the flower, wow! And that heat embossed bg adds so much interest and has a unique look! Great to have you as GD at TO!
mmmm loving the lime green and the grey!
I just LOVE this one. Soft and pretty ... and my favourite colour, too. x
Hi Michele... I have had a couple of crazy weeks, and I never got around to visiting DT blogs for the second week of our Time Out inspired by words challenge. Your work always slays me, but this card was especially gorgeous. How I love those Gerbera images (I have wanted that set forever too) and I love that you colored them green with gray stem and petals. The embossing in the background is wonderful and I love that you set it on an angle. Your inside sentiment is fantastic. I may have to steal that one. Thanks so much always for your inspiration and for joining us again at Time Out!
