Is it a pure coincidence that my newest purchase from Wplu9 A new Day, was delivered? Me thinks not!
For CTS #120:
I will admit my background isn't as 'washed' as I like it to be - but let's face it... nobody does that as beautifully as Gayatri who created this beautiful sketch.
I created the stencil with a slip of vellum and the MFT Polka Dot Cover-up, and went over it a second time with the MFT Cheesecloth background stamp. Ranger Archival Ink for Mr. Chickadee.
My team-mates always teach me lots about looking at a sketch in the most unique way - as do you! I cannot wait to see how you interpret today's sketch!
As always: thanks for stopping by!
Oh, I love, love, love this, Michele! I love your stencilled background with that sweet bird and sentiment! Fabulous take on the sketch!
GORGEOUSLY done - that stenciled background is so perfect for your bird on the branch image!! Super awesome and just a breath of fresh air - So Spring-y!!!
I would say that bird flew in at the perfect time! And a little birdie told me some blooms are about to fly your way, too! ;)
The timing of your new goodies and the new sketch: marvelous coincidence, indeed! And lucky us to see the amazing results! Stencils, colours, image...yes, love at first sight!
Sigh...I love this Michele. Those pretty little yellow polka dots have me smitten!
There you go, Michele, spring's arrived!! Beautiful ... the collage-y background is perfect behind that sweet little chickadee! Hugs, Anita :)
Oh my word Michele, this card is gorgeous!! I love how you stenciled two textures in your background, that is just so cool looking!!! I love that new stamp too, how pretty is that little bird and how fabulous is that sentiment?!! Now it is funny that your bird has yellow, this morning I was eating cinnamon toast looking out my back door and saw these beautiful little birds-look just like yours-and they were yellow and black. A vivid yellow! They were the sweetest little birds ever. So this card just makes me smile like those cute birds did. Hugs, Brenda
This is beautiful, Michele!
Love the mix of stenciling/stamping to create that glow/frame around the bird. Great take on the sketch!
Guess what Michele! When I saw the sketch I had the same thoughts in mind as you were. Mine was delivered on Monday and I haven't inked it yet... Now I just may have to give it some love... Your take is beautiful, as always! Love the polkadots!
love that bird and the sweet polkas...perfect in yellow!
This is so perfect, Michele! I love that bird and your creative background! Awesome!

Beautiful! That wonderful bird image looks fantastic with your polka dot background!
Oh, he is so sweet, Michele. I will definitely want to stamp him on watercolor paper.
This really is the perfect card and perfect stamp for the inspiration sketch. Love how that bird is stamped right over your polka dots. I do see a lot of different color variations in your dots--good sponging to me.
Oh I just LOVE all your work, SO talented!
Love how you stamped over the polka dots in just black ink! FAB card!! xx
This is stunning, love the background and the bird is wonderful in just lack!
So beautiful and love your polka dot background, so sweet with that adorable little bird sitting pretty.
