Another Friday Fun-day!

I'm pretty sure you know this guy by now... some have told me they wouldn't EVER tire of seeing him... thank you, friends.  

In keeping with the coming season, and Sugar Pea's Mix it Up Challenge #77, my buddy has dressed for the occasion.

I've had my way with him, sentimentally.  [also borrowed the ears, cover plate and greenery, from other companies.]  I think he can hop on the bunny trail, don't you?

Tom happened to be in my craft studio, and he approved of my next re-make.

We thought it was even funnier for a brown bear 

to wear those white rabbit ears!

Second helpings today!

I'm still so accustomed to having two posts on Thursdays!  Thought I'd let the mood strike for second helpings today!

My friend Marcia was so kind to share her lucky little CCC Shamrock mouse for my IB165 card with me, I returned the favor and tucked a little something in my thank you note!  Hope you love them as much as I do, my friend!  

What was it, you may be asking?  a new little cutie from MFT called Sweet Celebrations from their newest artist Rachelle Anne Miller ...  the dies are a must have, I think!  I couldn't fussy cut those balloon strings to save my soul!

I was inspired by Therese Calvird to try Yana Smakula's non-blended Copic coloring technique on my balloons ... yes, I did use every last one of these Copics!!! and a few of my favorite cover plates! [only one still available - that sweet scalloped one from Reverse Confetti]

These little cuties are up, Up, and a WAYYY too cute water colored with

Distress inks, too - more on those soon!!

Hi my friends!  I don't know about you, but I don't think I have a smidge of Irish heritage!  But when it comes to friends?  I have the luck of the Irish, for sure!  Case in point, my friend Marcia, who often surprises me with little envelopes of love to color!  Here is my Inspired By #165 Lucky card - you'll easily see I was inspired by our colors, and that wee shamrock - but can you see my rainbow[s]?

Waffle Flower week1 Challenge: Leaves!!

 

I'm always up for a challenge - in this case, I'm super excited about the Weekly Challenge from this fun gang at Waffle Flower Crafts!

Channin, Daniel, and Tiffany have challenged us to use leaves as the focal point of our cards - I knew just the ones to reach for.  Bonus, I used some smooshed panels from my snippets box!

Greenery, Micro Grid panel 2, and Rainbow Thank You die.

You only have until March 11th to play... better get a move on, before this challenge leaves us behind!!  lol

Pigment Craft Company!!

Recently a dream came true for one of the most talented card makers I know.  Ivana, I couldn't be more happy for you!!  May I introduce you to my first purchase from Pigment Craft Company... and show you why having the layering stencil included in this gorgeous Blooming Floral stamp and stencil set is such a smart idea on her part!

Have you ever heat embossed an image on vellum, and colored the back side of it?  The look is soft - a bit ethereal in my view.  What if I told you using the back side of those stencils is the easiest way EVER to add ink??  Yeah, that's exactly what I said the back side of the stencil!!!

Here's what that looks like... from the back [after lining up the easiest stencil I've ever used - all pertinent bits are identifiable by an etched outline] adding the first colors of green.

Here's what it looks like from the front... Altenew inks worked beautifully on this

PTI linen vellum.

I made a card-base using one of my favorite dies from W&W that no longer exists, adding a layer of coral paper underneath - you'll see it peeking through, but softened so beautifully by that perfect slip of vellum!

That pretty little Hello is part of the stamp set - I've simply heat embossed it, again on vellum, and did a little fussy cutting!  I think Ivana will like that I've bling-ed it up a bit!

Another Altenew Monogram and Color Hues

Sneaking into your Sunday just one more time... and into the gallery at Altenew's Monogram Contest with the current colors from Color Hues #13:  Blue & Yellow.  [13 is my lucky number - hope it works the charm today!]

totally confused this crafter!  but I love it just the same!  

Color Hues - you do allow different hues/shades of your colors, right? lol

My darker yellow is showing as orange in the photo!
