Watercolor my world!

Guess who is attending this session of creativeness?  Yes, me, that's who =]

Even better?  I WON the class from those wonderful folks at Moxie Fab World!!!  I've done a few watercolors back in the day... mostly botanical style.  So when Ms. Virginia's first challenge involved water-coloring, I dusted those old paint boxes off.  Here is one of two entries:

Clear embossed Hero Arts stamp on watercolor paper.

I'm really looking forward to absorbing all the water-coloring skills this fab group of teachers has to offer me.  [Hope I don't dip my brush in my coffee=]

Wish me luck!

Thank you, thank you very much =]

Yep, channeling Elvis this morning =]

Never did I expect to see more than a few comments on my blog.  I am so overwhelmed with gratitude and beyond thrilled to have the very people I've been admiring stop by to give me encouragement and love.  Wow. Again, thanks. Its going to be so much fun getting to know each other! Now-on to breakfast: peanut butter/banana toast! =]

Purple Stitches

Purple stitches.

Oh my goodness. Could there be a harder challenge for me? NO!  So when my friend Chaitali from Iron Craft http://cutscropscreativity.com/2014/04/iron-craft-challenge-week/ posted her first challenge based on all the fabulous designers she's interviewed on her fabulous blog, I wanted to play along. Sarah Gough and I really hate purple... next, orange!!!

THEN Ms. wonderful Virginia Lu, at Virginia's Challenge http://virginiasviewchallenge.blogspot.ca/ double-dog-dared me [in my mind anyway] to bust out the sewing machine... which is a whole other bag of tricks =[
Well there. I've done it.  That's it - my purple phase, in a purple haze.

The first day of my Sentiment-al Journey =]

You should know that this blog was not my idea - well, kind of my idea.

I was encouraged by a great designer in our world of cards 'across the pond' who inspires me daily [and thousands of others] to create.  Start a blog! says she. Not only to share my creations, but also to give myself a voice.  You may be sorry about that voice thing... I am youngest of nine and LOVE to be heard!

Debby Hughes, you had me at [your first] hello [card]. =]

Here is an example of what you'll see here.  I [think] I have a sense of humor and often try to incorporate a little tongue-in-cheeky business into my cards.  Thus:

Inside sentiment:  "Sorry!! - I didn't think you caught my wave!!!"

I've been creating cards for the fam for a few years now.  Recently, I started to submit to challenges as I'm drawn to the world of CAS.  My first win happened this month on CASology!!  You cannot imagine my surprise, joy, and complete and utter fear when asked to be a Guest Designer!!  What a thrill - many thanks to Melissa Chipperfield.

So, if you so happen to be in my blog neighborhood... stop by, have a coffee, and hopefully a laugh =]
