OH my X's and O's!

Well, seriously, can we play a game of Tic Tac Toe without x's and o's?

Row two - horizontally & vertically!  Yes, that is sparkly paper - well maybe shimmery would be a better descriptive? - it was purchased for Christmas, and promptly forgotten; obviously embossed; a birthday card; with jumbo letters!

Winnie & Walter JUMBO hi, Verve U, Cuttlebug xo, and a scrap of patterned paper from the snippet box with the perfect xo print:

Inside sentiment:
"You are getting on ... is this print big enough?
If not you should still be able to 'feel' the love ...
Happy birthday!!"

Have a fabulous weekend, everyone ... thanks so much for all the visits this week!!!  xo

My Favorite Things Sketch #262

I'm throwing my hat into the ring over at MFT's Sketch challenge this week - my wishlist is mighty long, and the budget has been beaten to death lately!!!  Fingers crossed!

Here is my card for MFTWSC262:

Inside sentiment:
"Yep. No matter which way you look at it.
But I'll try not to make a spectacle of myself."

I was so happy to play with these specs again.  [The arrows are no longer available, sorry.]  This last little plaid pair is my homage to Amy Kolling's darling daughter's incredibly cute plaid glasses!  Hope she doesn't mind ...

CAS[E] this Sketch #154

Happy New Year, everyone!!!  After our hiatus, I am a bit rusty!  But ever so happy to get back to crafting ... aren't you?  Here is a lovely new Sketch from N@t Ali to get our CTS year started on the right foot:

I have lots of new goodies since last we've gathered.  On the top of the list to use is a fabulous, beautiful set designed by my friend May Park called Oriental Orchid ... here's what I've done with it for this week's sketch ... a match made in Heaven, I think!

For it's first use, I've chosen to white heat-emboss the outline of the orchids onto linen vellum, and add a bit of simple coloring on the reverse with Copics.  A sprinkling of wonderful sequins [a very generous gift in my W&W order] and voila!

A little close-up and I'll leave you with my thanks, and a wish to see YOU in our CAS[E] this Sketch gallery this week!

Please, be sure to check out all the loveliness my team-mates have to inspire us!

Fusion 2nd Anniversary - Guest Designer!

Imagine how happy I was when I received a sweet little invitation from Michelle Williams - that's Amusing Michelle - to be her guest designer for the Fusion 2nd Anniversary Celebration?   SO honored ... it is one of my favorite challenges.

Check out the fabulous photo/sketch I had the honor of working with - can we really call this work?

An old favorite wood-mount stamp from Stampendous: Ranunculi - called to me.  oh I adore it.   This time I paired it with a darling chevron patterned paper to mimic the table runner - can you believe this? how did they know I cannot resist table linens? -  leaving a bright white margin on either side of the card to represent the table.  I've even pulled out a few enamel dots in their honor ... that is something to celebrate!

... is yet to come!
Congratulations on your 2nd Anniversary!!

Thank you, Michelle, and Fusion, for having me as your guest!  What a thrill for me to celebrate YOU!  I so look forward to 'playing cards' with you in 2016!

Tic Tac Toe Second Helpings!

The Tic Tac Toe Challenge might want to think about setting limits ... here comes a little card for row #3 on the board:

Background stamping, a second helping of my first use of those MFT Cat-itude stamps, and a MFT rectangle frame - okay, I confess I just couldn't dispose of any little piece of this!  Leaving those characters on the outside frame un-touched looks kinda cute, right?

Inside sentiment:
"To say we like you more than dead fish would be an understatement!"
This is a total homage to Donna's darling card!
Thanks again, Donna, for inspiring enabling me!

edited to add:  thank you!!

Thank YOU Stamping Smiles Designs for this fun new challenge!  This next card is just for fun - I'm thinking nobody could take thirds of fish:

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #1

There's a new challenge on the block, and I couldn't wait to play along!  Stamping Smiles Designs has given us a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge - a favorite of mine - here are our choices:

I received this card from a darling, generous, friend who I adore.  I just couldn't wait for the Cat-itude stamps from MFT to be  back in stock!  Finally! I was able to make them my own, and give them a go, my way - be fair warned, you'll be seeing them again in the form of Second Helpings for this challenge!!!  I had way too much fun with them to quit on the first go 'round!

Inside sentiment:
"To realize just how Paw-some you are, on your birthday, and every day"

I've chosen line #1:  Gold, Sparkles, and Acetate... Am I pushing the 'gold' envelope a bit much with my gold-fish??  Just in case, I threw in a few gold sequins to the mix!

Congratulations, Ka!  You've chosen a fabulous design team to inspire us!!!

Muse 147 - My Pun-y Valentine!

Muse
Happy 2016, everyone!  I'm overjoyed to be bringing you the first Muse card of the year!

It's time to put away the Christmas and bring out the Valentine's Day supplies, right?  Or am I too early?  No way!

I like to think I have a fun sense of humor ... some would disagree =]  But my special Valentine loves a pun, and also popcorn ... so do I.  Here is the first of my Valentines for my sweetie:

Muse #147:

YOU all make my heart pop!  Thanks, and I do hope this gets your new year started with a smile, and that you'll have a Valentine or two to play along!
