It seems we are going back to basics with our wintertime sketches, doesn't it? Kim's fun Freshly Made Sketches #722 is as basic as it comes - unless you would like to make it otherwise, that is!
I reached for a Pinkfresh Studio Essentials Lacey Edgers and some bright blues and tipped Kim's Sketch for a fun Winter scene...
Penny Black's Christmas Cubs and Cuddle Up [sentiment] are the
stars of my card and another oldie but goody embossing folder from
The Paper Studios give my card panel a bit of a Valentine vibe!
Our Winter has been a good one for a 'cuddle up' and plenty of hot chocolate! There have been 16 inches of the white stuff recorded in our area this season. Seems like a lot, doesn't it? But no records have been broken.
Enough of that - I cannot wait to see what Kim has made using her own sketch - let's go!! You have until February 9th at 3pm EST to join us - I can't wait to see your stripes!

Awh! This is such a delight, Michele! I love the shades of blue you have chosen for those lacy layers! They pop off the white! And who could resist this sweet pair! It certainly is good weather for snuggling up.
This is such a sweet card, Michele. Those lacy edges are fabulous and what a great idea to add the valentine vibe.
This is darling, Michele! Love all the wonderful texture you've added.
What a fun card with that sweet image. Love the BLUE lacy borders and embossed background. Perfect sentiment too.
Oh my goodness...you used some gorgeous shades of blue here! Such a cute image and those diecut edges are fabulous! FUN!
Fun and fanciful, your friends are delighted with their lacy snowdrifts! And the colors -- oh my! However, that's two in a row with blue, Michele. I'm a little shocked but delighted
This makes me feel chilly just looking at it. It has certainly been a challenging winter weather wise, even we have had some snow, but it has mostly been loads and loads of rain. Everything is sodden. I am glad your polar bear looks friendly as this is rather a close encounter. Love how you have used those edge dies too xx
What a darling take on the sketch! You certainly have an eye (brain?) for thinking out of the box. And such lovely shades of periwinkle plus those embossed hearts--I need some sketch lessons!
Flipped and wonderful, great take on the sketch Michele!
You do do sketches awesome. I love that darker blue paper to that color is gorgeous.
Awwwwww...that PB image is melting my heart Michele...wish it could melt some of our snow!! (How can you only have 16" of snow so far this season when we've had over 40" since the end of November??) But anyway, I love your sweet image and the lacey borders on the diagonal and of course that ef too!! You'd definitely be winning if you weren't already on the DT! Hugs. :0)
This is as CUTE as CUTE can possibly be! Love this little duo all dolled up in blue!
Super cute! I like the crisp and clean feel of this one. Plus those cuties cannot be beat.
Such a creative way to use those stripes, Michele. No surprise! I love that embossing folder as background for your sweet scene. And yes, that sentiment is just perfect. We have had the same weather as you, just a little less time of it. I just want my blanket and a hot cuppa!
The images are cute on their own but your use of a variety of borders and heart embossing is absolutely charming!
Oh so sweet Michele! Love your take on the sketch and the beautiul blues!! :)
Adorable! The only way to meet a polar bear is dressed in blue and is as cute as can be. I love that EF and those scalloped edges!
Simply amazing! Love everything about this card.
You know I love this Penny Black stamp, and those Lacy Edgers are so cute as the sketch element! Super sweet to have the embossed hearts in the background, too. Adorable!
This is so CUTE!! I LOVE your images and the fun way you used the border dies!!
Those die cuts are such a fun way to create a winter scene. Adorable card!
Oh Wow! This card is pure sweetness, Michele!
