While I was on the road, my longtime friend Neda celebrated her birthday. Normally, I make it a Halloween themed card - it does fall on the 31st after all.
But this turkey had me reaching for a bird of a different color!
I pulled out a few retired Ellen Hutson sets for the sentiments -
Julie Ebersole always knew how to make me smile!
I dare you to look at this old bird and NOT see a string of pearls! lol
Only the HoneyBee Lovely Layers: Quail and
Spellbinders Four Petal dies are still available!
Thanks, for the turkey, and fun colors, Amy!

OK, you definitely got me smiling BIG TIME with this girl Michele...she's fabulous in all her lovely, lovely colors!! Love the sentiments too! Fun, FUN card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
She's definitely stunning in her pearls! Only you could come up with such a fanciful bird that would make us all laugh and enjoy. Those sentiments are pretty great.
A string of pearls, a feather in her cap and painted toenails! She's all dolled up for the birthday girl! This is fun, Michele!
Oh my goodness...such fun.
Definitely a cutie and I love the inside sentiment. The colors and pearls have all decked out. Love it.
Nothing wrong with adding those pearls my friend, I know she would have loved this fabulous card (even though it wasn't Halloween themed)!
This is just priceless, Michele. The pearls!!!!! ...and that sentiment! I laughed right out loud when I saw this and read your description. Fabulous card for your friend!
You are such a delight my friend!
Clever, creative and cute! What else can you want from a card to celebrate a friend's birthday?
I'm sure Neda laughed out loud when she saw that glamorous quail, complete with pearls! And yes, EH had thee best sentiments--you chose the perfect one!
What a lovely lady this quail is in her pretty colors! We can easily imagine that string of pearls. I love the sentiment you put together on the inside, especially the bit about "your sparkle". Such a nice thing to say!
