Color Hues #43 - Second helpings!

I had a blast reading all of the guesses I received about what I used to
stamp my first card for Color Hues #43!

No winner, but two of you guessed produce.
Darnell, with potato, and Hideko guessed a carrot!
Are you ready??  I used the very bottom portion cut from a full
stalk of CELERY!!  This is the only instance where my mom would
be just fine with me playing with my vegetables!!

I found a few more 'smooshed' pieces in my snippets using Oxide inks in blueprint sketch and lucky clover.  I stamped a few flowers over one with versafine black, clear embossed, and die cut them.  The panel was just big enough to use a scalloped die to cut a panel from, then I found another snippet to cut the leaves and stems from.

I used that same die to cut a card base - holding it over the fold to keep it intact.

The flowers and sentiment are from The Stamp Market Ready to Bloom.

YOU are all the BEST!  Thanks for the kindness you share with me!

Love the shaped card, and am always impressed with your creativity, but celery knocks it out of the park! Another beautiful entry to our Color Hues Gallery!

I love the big scallops that make up your card and those flowers are so cute! This is delightful, Michele!

Celery....that's a good way to use that unappetizing veggie, LOL! It's only lacking some peanut butter to go with it!! GREAT card regardless, as is today's! Just beautiful!

What a neat looking card, Michele. Fun shape and great smooshing colors! Leave it to you to be super creative in what you chose to use as a stamping image. Wow. Never would have thought of celeery. Thanks for inspiring. :)

Michele, Celery never came to mind! LOL. Your card is just as darling as can be and I love that you made it a scalloped shape. Thanks for joining us once again at Color Hues. You are the Best too!

The quiz was fun, Michele! My first guess was a croissant (cross-section), but it's too soft, messy, and big for smooshing on A2 card. I didn't think of celery!!
This is another beautiful smooshing card! The clear embossing makes the flowers stand out, and the scallop shape is so cute!
Hideko xx

Ah! I was working backward, so now I see it. And in envisioning the cross section of a celery bulb, I totally see it in your design! I love it. I love this card too. I have do do some smooshing and leave the panels for another day. I always love what you do with these pieces, and this is no exception.

I must have a few smooshed backgrounds around……I am going to try this! Not sure my results will be as pretty!
