Popping in to remind you that there's still plenty of time to make a Monochrome floral card for The Flower Challenge!
I had to play a little more with my Altenew Hello Beautiful* Craft a Life kit! It includes a set of coloring stencils. I'll admit to scratching my head a little bit, but in the end, they worked their charm to color this beautiful bouquet... another love of neutrals card for me! Altenew's Coffee Break ink collection proved to be the perfect choice for a little mocha monochrome.
This Timeworn Type embossing folder from SU is the newest addition to my every-growing collection! This time I used MFT's Natural cardstock - another discontinued paper, sadly.
I know I've shared this tip in the past, but happy to share it again.
Using an embossing folder, like this oldie from Cuttlebug, to emboss a second die cut layer can add lift, without bulk - or extra postage!
There are tons of cards to inspire you over at The Flower Challenge blog - my friend Lisa is our guest designer this month, too! So why not go on over to be inspired, and play cards with us while you're at it!
*Altenew's Craft a Life Hello Beautiful is a kit - items not sold separately - yet! Sometimes they will do later, but no promises are intended. Please understand that this is not under my control nor am I an affiliate of the Altenew company. I'm sure you have another floral that will be just perfect!
Those colors worked beautifully for a neutral monochrome card, Michele. I'll have to try them with my kit. I love your new embossing folder.
I love the coffee tonal/monochromatic card Michele x. The stencilling and blending looks so pretty and WOW to the 3D embossing folder, which looks fabulous. Beautiful card with a beautiful sentiment too. Thank you too Michele for the tip at the end of the post and for your amazing inspiration x.
See, even I can get behind neutrals that look this fabulous. Love that embossing folder and the amazing effect of your monochrome florals over it. Absolutely gorgeous.
Hello gorgeous! Wow are those flowers ever pretty all dolled up with your coffee inks. I have to check out this embossing folder at SU, it's a beauty!

How beautiful! I do really love your neutral colors, and thanks for the tip which I haven't seen before.
Nope, I haven't seen that tip before and it's a great one thank you very much! ps I was looking for another grey monochrome, you are definitely blooming outside your comfort zone here lol. Love it Michele!
Wow love the colours, makes me think of coffee ice-cream, my favourite flavour ever. The flowers look fantastic and that embossing folder, I can't believe every time I come look I have to add to my shipping list lol. Fantastic card my friend
Okay, this is gorgeous, Michele. You have such a unique flair in your cardmaking. One I truly admire! These colors are so calming and elegant. Wow. And thanks for the embossing tip. Don't remember seeing it before and it's a great one! Thank you for sharing your talent and creativity!

This is absolutely gorgeous, Michele. You sure do know how to navigate neutrals! I missed your tip before, so thank you for that, and that new EF is da bomb.
Who knew brown flowers could be so pretty? :-) love this.
The mocha monochrome flowers are beautiful and go so well on that embossed background. I am glad to learn that tip about embossing a second die cut layer.
Your monochrome card is so lovely! Love it! I really like the embossed bg which adds so much interest to this lovely card. Thanks, too, for that tip - it's a great one!
I do love monochrome and have recently acquired some new flower stamps, so perhaps I shall try to find time this week to make a card, we will see. Your card is very special, as usual. I think you have your mojo back, but monochrome can have that effect, if unsure go monochrome is my motto. Thanks for the tip too, I haven't heard it before, or don't remember! It is a good one xx
What a gorgeous card, and a clever way to add some lift and dimension too - thanks for the tip, Jo x
Beautiful monochrome card in the lovely neutrals. Love the embossed background and pretty flower arrangement. TFS
Wow, this card is just gorgeous in these monochrome colors Michele! I am so loving this flower too. So you "colored" it with the stencils?? Gorgeous, but then I always know it will be gorgeous if you made it! That a fun tip you had at the end, if I've seen it before, I've forgotten about it. Gotta try and remember this one! Hugs, Brenda
Oh this is fabulous monochrome or otherwise.
Absolutely gorgeous card, Michele! I love your monochromatic color palette and how you layered your embossed panel behind the blooms...so pretty! It's too bad that natural cs is discontinued...it's perfect here ~ xx
Hello there! Sorry I'm late catching up and typing is a little difficult lately (trapped nerve). Anyway, I just love it when you use these neutral colours.. You always come up with something spectacular. Love this my friend.
Love your beautiful mocha monochrome and the cool embossed background, Michele! Using the brown shades for flowers is unexpected and interesting! Thank you for the clever tips to add dimension!
I know, I know...I'm a little late to the commenting party here (still in this crazy slump here and struggling to get motivated!), but had to tell you how beautiful this card turned out in the brown shades!! And your embossed background looks fabulous with it! Lovely, lovely card Michele!! Hugs. :0)
Oh I do love your color choice Michele! Such a warm hue for these cold days. I was chuckling over your comment about the stencils-they're wonderful but a bit of a hunt to figure out. Gorgeous card!
Monochrome and beautiful !
I love your neutral brown toned florals and the embossing layer tip. I often use layers of scrap paper for boosting focal points but embossing is better! Thanks for the eye candy!
Oh My! Gorgeous, Michele, and I love the tip, as I've never seen it before.
