Well, my friends, here we are, weeks away from Christmas, and before we know it, the end of another year! Where did the year go? I haven't a clue, but I do know that I've been blessed by your presence in my blogging life. Especially those of you who answered 'yes' to my invitation this year to Play Cards! It has been such fun, and I hope all of you have enjoyed getting to know some of the talented card makers in my life.
LeAnne Pugliese is a long-time blogging friend, fabulous card maker, and Stampin' Up representative. She is so talented, and fun - and you may recall I dropped by unannounced this Fall - she doesn't mind one bit if you stop by to say hello!! [OH, and if you drive more than 1400 miles, John even buys your dinner!! thanks again, you two!]
Here was my assignment for our play-day:
- Christmas decor
- non-traditional colors
- background die, or embossing folder

Michelle... I think you and LeAnne have nailed all the fun colors for the holidays. I think a tree in all your fun ornaments would be just grand! Wishing you and the family the happiest of holidays! Much love.
IT turned out so nicely and definitely festive, Michele. Its a win. Off to see LeAnne's.
Definitely different colors for Christmas ornaments, but you made it all come together perfectly Michele...LOVE it!! Off to see what LeAnne did now. Hugs. :0)
"Ugly Sweater"??? I thing not. I love the texture, colors and that soothing strip of vellum. I'd say you nailed this one, my friend.
Oooh la la..those are gorgeous non-traditionally-colored ornaments and oh so pretty! Thanks for asking me to play along!
This totally works, Michele! Your colorful ornaments are so pretty on the embossed background and the sentiment on the vellum totally works!
Not ugly sweater at all! I think they are retro colored. And I also think they look fabulous. So happy for you to have been able to play with all your friends. What a joyful celebration of this fun hobby of ours. Thanks so much for all the delight you bring to your readers, Michele. Looking forward to more in the coming year. Crafty hugs!
I think you nailed those Altenew colorful ornaments! Your vellum panel with the sparkly sentiment is the icing on the cake!
Ha ha, that's what I do when stuck, just copy the example. It worked great and the embossed background and vellum makes all the difference xx
What a fantastic "event" you've created -- great cards and awesome memories! I don't see any ugly sweater here, but I see pretty baubles atop your lovely e/f -- a great combo, Michele, and way to go on that vellum!
Not at all ugly.....I love, love, love them. You made this set come alive with your colors and they belong on that perfect background. I have sure enjoyed your Play Cards posts, and have often been inspired to try my hand with your inspiration. I just really don't blog anymore and, not being a real cell phone person, I haven't become too familiar iwht Instagram.....but, love your posts so much. You are also a real kick. I appreciate all you share!
hahaha love your beautiful ugly sweater Christmas Ornaments lol.
Oh you do play well with friends! Looks
Like a fun time with fun colors! Those ornaments remind me of those on my tree back when I was a young ‘un! Beautifully done!
Nope....not at all ugly and such a textural and happy Christmas card Michele x. Fun to craft with LeAnne and always great to share dinner together after such a long drive! x.
Beautiful card, love those stenciled baubles! I have such trouble lining ornament stencils up.
These are fun non-traditional Christmas color ornaments, Michele! The long slimline shape, the beautiful embossed white background, and the slip of vellum pull the colorful ornaments together.
Hideko xx
You gather I am a little behind with visits but I had to see them all... Another colourful and beautiful creation!
Um, I think the colors are fabulous! Just sayin', but I do agree that the background and the vellum have lots to do with making this one awesome! I love it!
