I DO Believe!

Hello friends!  Hope your holiday prep is going well!

A week or so ago, SSS had a little free-with-purchase die available - I thought it was just the 'cherry on top' that our little handmade paper Christmas Village needed!  It's a bit small but cute just the same.  Here's how Santa and his reindeer fly ...

This is just one of five little houses we made and display each year!
I cut two of my Santa and reindeer from Neenah #110 paper and sandwiched a slim wire between the glued layers.  I found just the place in our 'birch trees' make from paper straws to stick it!
Can you spot him?  I can almost hear 'dash away, dash away, dash away all!'

What better time to cut another for a card?  Perfectly sized for that!

Another wonderful SSS 3D embossing folder, Steel grey paper from MFT, swiped with Versamark, and heat embossed in Ranger fine detail silver embossing powder.  The Dash away All dies set also includes this crescent moon, and a wonderful swoosh of stars - saving those for another day.
The foil paper comes from Michael's.
This 'Believe' is a Pinkfresh sentiment stamp/die from Simple Joy - now discontinued.

Okay.  Now I must dash - and I know you are all just as busy with last minute makes, and bakes!  Enjoy!
=]  Michele

Looks like there may be a few more left at SSS.

I see what you mean about the scale of Santa and his reindeer but it is still a sweet addition to your beautiful handmade dwellings...and those trees. Superb. Love the contrast on your card, as well...so effective with Santa swooshing over that snowy pine forest.

Thank you for your message of condolences, Michele.
Ahh, now you have me thinking of making my own little Christmas village - and having Santa flying over the house is the cutest.

The die may seem small compared to your village, but that's because Santa is really, really flying high in the sky...that's according to Landon who's 4 and knows EVERYTHING! Haha!! It seriously looks great with your village though Michele...love it! And your card is beautiful too! You may have to cut me out a few of those Santa's to play with sometime... Hugs. :0)

You are amazing, Michele. The use of that sweet Santa and reindeer is fantastic. You made the trees from paper straws. Wow. The card is also stellar. You never cease to amaze me, my friend. As for Christmas prep...I'm so unprepped, it's almost funny. Ah well, I'll do what I can do and try again next year. ;)

An awesome use of this die cut, Michele! What fun to have Santa and his reindeer flying over the birches and your handmade house! I love the background you've place him on for the card too! I got this die last week and still haven't had a chance to play with it. Thanks for the inspiration, my friend!

What a wonderful little scene you have created with your house, trees and Santa sleigh, love it. Your card is pretty special too with loads of lovely texture xx

I love your winter scene - birch trees made of paper straws - more genius. Santa and his sleigh are far off in the distance heading for your house - that is why they are small! He still has 7 days to get there!

The die-cut Santa and reindeer flying over your handmade house is awesome, Michele! I remember I saw a picture of your paper Christmas Village sometime ago, but that's a kind of Christmas decoration I would like to have at my home too.
The 3D embossed and heat-embossed trees are gorgeous! The embossing powder looks just like fine snow. The texture of the die-cuts is a nice touch too!
