Michigan was kind enough to give us a break from snow for a day of play! Marcia, and I had to take advantage of it! We shared our supplies, enjoyed lunch [and the most wonderful dessert - Tom is ready for more!] and then crafted a little bit more! Unless we get another break in our usual Winter, it will be Spring before we are able to gather again. boo, hoo!
Marcia gifted me with a lovely sprig die from SSS, and I had just ticked off another embossing folder on my very long wish-list! Those are the things we'll both be using today. Ready. Set. Go!
First up - a card made with the gorgeous Tim Holtz 3D Poinsettia... it was destined to stay this gorgeous Winter white! A pretty satin ribbon, and simple gold-embossed sentiment from PinkFresh.
This extra dimension was attained by embossing two of the panels,
then fussy-cutting one of the images and popping it up over the embossed panel
with foam squares.
Next up, that wonderful gift from Marcia! SSS Etched Berry Branch... and a mini-slimline card...
Two of the branches were die cut from SU Old Olive card stock, then I 'gilded'' them,
and those sweet little berries. Another new embossing folder - this time from Spellbinder: Slimline Flora. Another Winter White card. OH I nearly forgot to mention that
pretty oval which is one layer from Spellbinder's Candlewick Ovals. It was tenderly smooshed into my Versamark embossing ink, then into Altenew Rose Gold and heat embossed.
Only Marcia will know that this sprig was layered, trimmed, and
put back together seamlessly!

You are SO talented my friend...I just knew your cards would blow me away!! What an awesome idea to keep the Poinsettia all white and add dimension by fussy cutting another layer of the flower...it looks absolutely FABULOUS!! And oh my, your gilded berry branch looks absolutely AMAZING cut and woven around that COOL oval die cut!! It truly looks like they were meant to be like that from the beginning!! And the embossed background is one I want to borrow...oh my gosh is that ever pretty!! Two lovely, lovely cards Michele, and thanks again for such a fun, FUN day!! I just love our play dates and our friendship...who knew all those years ago what kindred spirits we'd grow into?!! I sure hope we don't have to wait till Spring to get together again...please, PLEASE Michigan weather be kind to us!!! Hugs. :0)

Popping up the panel was brilliant!
Love me some Winter White and both of your cards fill me with joy. The the poinsettia card's texture is beyond beauty...what a great idea to layer the fussy cut image to the embossed one. And that oval wreath is so striking with it's flashes of gold over the the dreamy embossed background. You've outdone yourself, AGAIN. Off to see what Marcia's up to.
Shazam... those poinsettias are stunning and I love that you added more dimension to them!! I'm also in love with that oval die, might have to go shopping for that one!! Those sprigs Marcia gifted you are the perfect fit for it too!!
Both cards are fantastic. I especially love the double layer embossed one, what a great idea for making it even more special. I have loads of embossing folder but I get really stuck when I try to make my embossed card into cards. I just go blank and end up putting them all away again!

Oh, Michele!!! THUD! That's what happened when I first saw a glimpse of your white poinsettia. How I LOVE white on white! It's perfection... THEN I saw your second card...OMG! Stunning in every detail! Thank you for the very gorgeous inspiration!
I love that poinsettia folder and did one in white myself but not with all that fabulous dimension. I can't imagine fussy cutting it, Michele, but it is so magnificent layered up that way. The gilded leaves look right at home in that gold wreath. Another beauty. I'm hoping the three of us can get together this summer. I'm missing all the fun. ;)

I think the Thank you card is a standout card and looks amazing!
Then I scroll down and see the marvellous second card, which is another stunner. Loving the addition of the gilding/embossing and what a striking and fabulous design.

I love the dimension of the white poinsettias! They're so gorgeous and elegant! The extra dimension you created is worth the time and efforts of fussy-cutting.
The gilded leaves and berries make the wreath so special, and the shine of the rose gold oval must be pretty in real life. Off to Marcia's blog. :-)
