I am so inspired by the colors of this gorgeous 'carrot shaped' bouquet - now you might think I'd turn to my Altenew carrots, but think again!
I was immediately transported to Mexico, where our
wonderful Monarchs gather for the Winter! We would love to go there someday
to witness them in all their glory - until then, we'll keep 'growing' a few
to add to their numbers, and are awaiting their arrival in June.
Wanna see my card? You thought I'd never
shut up ask...
Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink , and the gorgeous C&9th Parsley paper,
are a match made in Heaven!
And all these luscious Catherine Pooler inks - so vibrant!
It was high time I got my father in law's hammer back out -
after 4 years it's still hard to believe he's gone... miss you, dad.
This technique adds just a teensy bit of interest without
detracting your eye from the focal point.
A little white-on-parsley sentiment label, and a smattering of clear PPP sequins
were added before the final shot.
Okay, it's high time I send you over to the Inspired By #168 to see how
my teamies were inspired - thanks for stopping by! and I hope we
inspire you to play, too!
Here is a look at those gorgeous Monarch's on PBS - just highlight, right click,
and click 'go to webpage' ... I've watched it a gazillion times!

Stunning! Love your cascade of butterflies. As a butterfly lover myself, I had to pop over to say how much I enjoyed your card.
What a gorgeous card, Michele! Oh my gosh, I can't get over the beauty of those colors together. Spectacular! I noticed the bits of texture and was so interested to see you used a hammer to achieve the look. That's amazing. Thank you so much for the link. What a spectacular sight. I almost can't comprehend that many butterflies in one place, even though I just watched it. Wow. Thanks for sharing this post. So beautiful! Hugs.
This card is so fabulous Michele - I could listen to you chatter all day btw! It makes me think carrot, even though it's butterflies! So clever and so pretty too!
Oh my, Michele, your cards get more wonderful every time you post. Thank you, thank you. As for the video, I had not seen that. So am grateful for that too.

Loved the video, Michele. What a perfect way to honor those wonderful creatures by have them cascading up your card.
Another GORGEOUS card, my friend! I love your color palette on the butterflies and how you stamped the vines behind them...WOW! Lovely embossing, too!

I am not going to be able to visit every post to catch up but I couldn't miss this one, it is so special. Those colours are just amazing and when I saw the spots of embossing I thought, how on earth did she do that? Then I saw the hammer. Ha, I am going to have to try that one, simply brilliant. You never cease to inspire, thank you xx
Soft, dreamy and such a fantastic sense of movement in your kaleidoscope of gorgeous monarchs, Michele ... this is a stunner! Hugs, Anita :)
Beautiful! I so LOVE those colors, and your butterflies are gorgeous! I have yet to "hammer" an embossing folder, but just maybe because I love the random subtlety
