Fusion Dragonfly!

You tell me... how could I resist this Dragonfly challenge?
or more specifically their gorgeous photo:

Lucky for me, I still had my little hitchhiker on my desk!

Here's where he took me today - a true Fusion design:

Altenew did all the work really.  Their Inked Lotus provided the flower, but their Rustic Linen stamp worked the charm to provide all the gorgeous texture to my
Memory Box Meadow Dragonfly, and pond, by heat-embossing with Reflections pearl embossing powder.
The watery coloring was achieved by using
Distress Inks in wilted violet, broken china, pine needles, blueprint sketch, chipped sapphire, and a wet brush.

Hope the upcoming weekend finds you enjoying
the last dregs of Summer!  From outside, or through a car window, that sun will be soaked up by this Michigan girl...

Gorgeous! Love that texture. Did you ink embossing before or after the coloring?

OMWord Michele, this card is just stunning! The inspiration photo really did inspire you my friend, your card is almost identical to the photo! I love dragonflies as much as I love my hummers, so this is a treat to see. I love the linen texture you got in the water and on the dragonfly, it is so real looking! Like I want to "run my hand over it to feel the texture" real looking! The colors are amazing as well, well done! Hugs, Brenda

Gorgeous, Michele. I have to try a color mash with my Rustic Linen stamp. And I may have to get a bigger dragonfly die. She sure looks pretty perched on the lovely lotus.

Really love this card with these luscious colors! Hmmm I have at least 5 wood dragonfly stamps not one clear/die set. Looks like I need to fussy cut!

A beautiful fusion my friend! I have a dragonfly stamp that has never seen before, I am inspired now!

Michele! This is a beauty!! You have such a knack for mixing things up, you know that? I would have never thought to combine these, and the result is spectacular! And that texture...gorgeous! How are your last days of Summer, friend? We have had a busy one, and I am so eager to get back into routine. Also doing plenty of canning and freezer meals as we use up nature's bounty. Hope you enjoy some more warm days before mitten season is upon us! (I always think of you + your momma when I think of mittens) xoxo
