CAS Stencil Challenge Guest

I was very lucky to have a win recently at CAS Stencil Challenge for this card … thanks, ladies, for inviting me to be your Guest Designer in May!

Here is the Challenge for this month:

https://casstencil.blogspot.com/2019/05/may-cas-stencil-challenge.html

If like me, you also went hmmmm … Loll has shared videos at the CAS Stencil blog that make it clear - I'm sure you'll enjoy watching them as I did.

Here is where those lessons from Kristina Werner took me...

My newest addition to my Spellbinder dies helps to put a wonky highlight to my DOX blended-simply-over-stenciled panel.

This little leave stencil is one from the very first stencils I ever purchased from JoAnn's at least 5 years ago!

I know the CAS Stencil design team will do a much better job of showing you how to stencil over a colored background than I have … let's go see, shall we?  Thanks for the visit!

Luck had nothing to do with your win, Michele...we LOVED your card! I'm also loving how you used your DOX inks for your stenciled leaves and your blue bloom really pops here, my friend! Clever idea to angle your debossed Venise Lace die to showcase your focal point, too...Another really fabulous card! Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer for May :)

You have done exceedingly well as guest designer, congratulations. This card is so good, it is a neat trick to offset the frame. I hanker after some of those dies, I hope they will find their way into my stash sooner or later. I also love the colour and the CAS design. In fact everything is great xx
