CAS[E] this Sketch #283

Donna Mikasa is our Sketch #283 artist this month … I've take a bit of artistic license with it … and it may look a little familiar!

I recently made another card for another challenge that included a Moroccan tiled pool - it has been bugging me that I didn't fill the pool with water!  isn't that silly?  but I knew I'd not be able to let it go until I tried, tried again!  I'm diving in...

After heat embossing the 'tile', and cutting the pool, I pounced my VersaMark ink over the pool area, and quickly clear heat embossed it!  Voila: water!

Add a simple scrap of gray linen cardstock from Michael's
for the diving board!  and a label-maker sentiment!

Mother Nature said wet so much better... the things a girl notices while on her porch, tending her butterflies!

So!  How will you arrange the elements of Donna's Sketch?  We are always amazed by your creativity!  See you in the CTS gallery...

Supplies: affiliate links added when possible - thank you!
Catherine Pooler Inks: Skylight, Seafoam, Eucalyptus
Waffle Flower Crafts: Sandy Toes [little diving darling]
Wplus9: 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles, and Tropic Fever [for the pool]

Perfect for the sketch. Who's a thunk diving boards except you. That moroccan background is ideal for the pools floor AND you used one of my all time favorite summer stamps.

Look at her, ready to dive- in. And I just reallised, you have really inspired me in many ways Michele, remember when I asked about the sentiment? Loved the emoboss resist look of this card! What a way to play this sketch. Had I not seen your card, it was too complicated for me :P

I adore this little beach girl and your background is really beautiful, Michele! Of course only 'you' would successfully create water for the pool, too...I love it! In fact, I love this card to pieces :)
Thanks for sharing the photo of your foliage with us...it's so pretty!

Wow, you did it, Michele! Love the shiny pool water (although I love the Distress Oxide Moroccan pool tiles in the other card too). I know that "bugging" feeling and I usually try again too. You must feel so great to have tried to your heart's content. :-)
And a fantastic take on the sketch - I would never come up with an idea of a girl diving in the pool when looking at the sketch. Hideko xx
