CAS[E] this Sketch Retro #257

Hi my friends!  I'm so happy that Chrissy chose one of my Sketches for our Retro Week at CTS!  It was a card that I made with love, with a paper I adored... guess what?  my darling friend sent me more!

Here is the card/paper I am referencing - see if you remember this:

Oh my goodness, so many of you liked this card!  In fact, I still love it!  Ready for today's version?  ta DA!

Yep!  a grey version, that simply begged for a purple rose!  On this one, I even managed to highlight the greenery of the print with Copics.  Though I'm sad to need a sympathy card, I think the person who received it will know how much he is loved.

Nearly as loved as that darling friend who shared her stash with me!!  Thank you SO very much, Hazel!

Now, are you ready to do your own thing with my Sketch?   Hope to see you in the CTS#257 gallery - and thanks for popping in!

LOVE both versions but my fave (if you made me choose.....) would have to be the 'pinky' one!

Beautiful cards, Michele. The pink flower was perfect for a birthday and the grey and purple for a sympathy card that your friend will truly appreciate. TFS both cards. Hugs...

My daughter asked for, two, sympathy cards last night so that is on my agenda to make today. So if your grey beauty with that gorgeous flower comes up missing you know that my specially trained carrier pigeon had a successful mission!

The first version is beautiful, Michele. Love the contrast of the colors. The second card is absolutely stunning! Wow. So sorry you need a sympathy card, but what a lovely one to bring comfort. Thank you for sharing.

Oh yes, this is one gorgeous design, Michele! Your original card is beautiful, but I must say, your gray version is over the top STUNNING! I love that you chose purple for your bloom and how you highlighted the greenery with your Copics, too...a perfect sympathy card!

Yes, your original card is stunning, but this new second card is even more stunning! I'm sorry it had to be made into a sympathy card, but you are right the person receiving will know how loved the are and I'm sure it will bring them comfort. I was wondering how you got color on the flowers and leaves, duh sometimes I'm so dim witted! lol Hugs, Brenda

I don't remember the first one but as lovely as it is I'm smitten with the new softer gray and blue version, Michele. Sometimes I wish I did Copic coloring. Yours is beautiful.

The original was a knock out, but the new version has me swooning!! Love the softness of the single colored flower and that little strip of polka dots is the icing on the cake!!
