Color Hues #74

I love being inspired by Hannelie again this month over at Color Hues #74!  Here are her awesome color choices...

Not exactly the first colors I reach for while creating Christmas cards, but I do have one particular friend in mind - yellow is her favorite color!  She'll be delighted to receive a yellow Poinsettia... and Hannelie didn't specify WHICH yellows, did she?  Perhaps these will do?

Okay.  Yes, I did find ANOTHER Poinsettia to add to my bountiful collection!
I really can't explain why it took so long to add this one from Altenew?
Between a great price and a wonderful gift card from a dear friend, this Dry Brush Poinsettia layering set [and that fabulous new frame] has found a new home!

Here she is in more traditional colors... along with another of those Pinkfresh Studio Large Holiday sentiments.

For whatever reason - and I did 'prep' my stamps, the inks just kept beading up!  But I think it adds to the unique style of this stamp, don't you?

Off I go to get this one posted - and added to the Color Hues gallery!  Thanks so much for dropping in!

I do think the beading on the stamps adds some pretty cool dimension. Your yellow poinsettia is a perfect answer to increasing your Christmas card stash and joining with us at Color Hues! Always happy to see you there!

Those stamped poinsettias in the background made a great place to show off the yellow one, Michele. I love that sentiment on the other one.

What a fun color for a poinsettia! Two pretty cards, Michele. I've had that ink beading up thing happen too no matter how much I conditioned the stamp. I think it out worked perfectly for you on these!

Never saw a yellow Poinsettia before but have to admit it's tickling my fancy and of course is using the challenge colors beautifully! The 2nd card in the traditional colors is also beautiful, but then I don't think you can go wrong with any color Poinsettia!! I love the beading up look too...kinda like water color! Lovely, lovely cards my friend and so glad to see you in the Color Hues gallery!! Hugs. :0)

Two beautiful cards Michele! I struggle with the beading up of ink to, but in this case it turned out looking natural. Very pretty!!!

I love art is non traditional colors. Your yellow-hued poinsettia is fantastic, as is the more traditional one.

I love that you think outside the box, Michele! The non-traditional Christmas colors are the ones I am usually drawn to. Both cards are gorgeous! Always a pleasure seeing your name in our gallery at Color Hues.

There are so many different poinsettia colours these days, there must be a yellow one somewhere! Whatever the reality, your design works great and the beading on the images just adds to the overall feel. Thanks for being so supportive of the Color Hues challenge Michele. :)

Michele I always always enjoy a visit to your blog! I'm never disappointed, your card are always so unique and lovely. Making a Christmas card is this challenges colours was a test and you passed with flying colours! Beautiful design and I love your second poinsettia card too. Dry brushing is a technique I have not tried before. Hope you are having a lovely weekend and thank you for sharing with us at the Colour Hues!

Loving how that stamp stamps or should I say how the stamper stamps?!? Either way the results are two beautiful cards!

What a modern and artistic looking card (and poinsettia image, as well). Beading on stamps seems to have no rhyme nor reason but it certainly adds to the look here.

Shall I say a rather daring choice for a Christmas card? Yet you created a gorgeous one, Michele, especially for a friend who loves yellow! I love your design with the kraft stamping in the background. The beading on the stamps actually added such texture that it makes your card that much more beautiful. Thanks for taking the challenge to heart (as always!) at Color Hues!
