My Poinsettia finale!

Hi my friends!  Hope your tummies, and hearts are full from a wonderful Thanksgiving!  It was very quiet 'round our house again this year.  With just the two of us, I went WAY outside the lines for our dinner and had a Mexican feast instead.  Let me tell you, the aroma from that pork [for Carnitas] roasting all night? - just as hard to sleep through as my Mom's 27 pound turkey!

It's time to start addressing envelopes, and signing Christmas cards. I've cut my list back this year, as I recently donated 150 Christmas cards to a favorite cause: Bring Smiles to Seniors.  I know you will all agree that this year our elders need more Christmas cheer than most do.

For my final two Altenew Poinsettia cards, I pulled out some of those favorite Wood Texture papers, and also a new pad of paper, from Craft Consortium: Grunge Dark tones.  I hope you like them... there might be a new Altenew die here...

this next one might be my favorite of the two...

This Poinsettia die was definitely my favorite of all my seasonal supplies this year.  I promise I won't bore you with any more!  But I could not resist sharing these last two!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Inspired By #152 ... dashing through the dough!

Tell me these aren't the cutest doughnut snowmen of all!

Having just added a sweet little set of snowmen to my stash, it was easy to put into play what I was inspired by ... I'm tipping my hat to the hand-cut top hats on those adorable treats:

Do you recognize this snow-dude?  Here's a refresher:

A few tiny snips allowed me to substitute his bag of presents,
for that top hat!

What inspires you to play along with IB152?  Maybe you need a few donuts to stoke the creative juices?

CAS Christmas November and The Flower Challenge #50

I'm coming in quite late in the game ... and really not sure if my card will qualify!  But, I did have fun recently with a new die for the 2020 Season, and promised to share my creations using my Altenew Poinsettia die and patterned paper.  Maybe it was a die you purchased this year, as well?  It seems to be 'out of stock' everywhere I shop!

CAS Christmas November 2020 is asking for Non-traditional Colours ... I can't imagine my Poinsettia being more non-traditional!  See if you agree...

In real life this piece of Altenew paper from their Sweet Moments paper pack features shades of grey-green, and navy... makes me happy, I'll tell ya.

The Flower Challenge #50 is asking for florals with a sentiment - I think this one works for that one!

Same Sweet Moments paper collection this one in red, with grey and navy!

Happy Monday!

EBE Mini Release! Instagram Hop!

My Instagram friends who follow me @mfergu01 will be able to
Hop along with the EH Design Ambassadors today for a chance of winning
one of three $25 gift cards to the Ellen Hutson, LLC shop!  For those of you who don't 'do Instagram' yet, I have a little treat for you here!

There is new mini-release today to celebrate 14 years of Ellen Hutson, LLC.  YAY!
I don't know about you, but these days I really try to buy what works well with a few sets that I have in my [already abundant] stash!   Enter a new little rainbow stamp and die set [available today at EH], that works beautifully with a favorite from the EBE line:  Snailed it!  See if you agree... and remember, I love to accentuate the negatives - otherwise known as snippets!  These Lawn Fawn prints were perfect!

wait for it...

I love it when my design carries over to the backside of my card.
Speaking of -
here's a look from the snail's backside!

All it takes is a wee bit of imagination, my friends!  Start thinking what
you might do then tell me in your comments here - I'll do my best to put your ideas into play!  Better yet, you'll shop then show and tell me yourself!

The actual rainbow?  well.  here's an early peek, but these new products won't be available in the EH shop until 12 noon EST, 9 PST.  See you then!

Hope your day has more rainbows, than snails!

CAS[E] this Sketch #399

I have another Colorado Crafts - Anita Jeram card for you!!  This week's CTS#399 was the perfect time for ice cream with friends...

When it comes to ice cream, I do believe in the '5 second rule!'  This little kitty does too...

Since it's nearly time for Thanksgiving here in the States, CTS also believes in giving you more time to play, too!  This Sketch will be a two week challenge!  Yay!  Let's go see what my teamies have made using CTS399, shall we?

Enjoy your Thanksgiving next week!  if you can spend time with your family, please do so safely!

Colorado Crafts: Ice Cream Day!
Bits of embossed paper, and patterned paper from my snippets box!

Inspired By #151 ... brush on color

I have actually watched someone color bottle-brush trees like these - no such luck for me...

However, I did find a stamp in my stash that worked the charm!  Reverse Confetti - Triangle Trees to the rescue!  You might also see that I was Inspired By the rustic wood cabinet, the dark shadows, and little gold 'trunks' of #IB151.

I loved them plain, but they really wanted to be decorated ... I found the perfect star-shaped ornaments from a retired set from MFT, and cut them from a the same cardstock I'd painted gold for my trunks, and tree-stands.

Aren't they the perfect sized stars?  that wee little sentiment is from the tree set!

Thanks for dropping by ... I don't know about you, but I can hardly wait another second to see how my IB teamies were inspired!!  Let's go!

CAS[E] this Sketch #398

OH, Oh, oh!  you are going to LOve our Sketch this week... do I say that all the time?  Check it out...

See!  didn't I tell you??

Are you ready for my next Colorado Craft installment?  I can't wait to share it!

It's so hard to fit these slimline cards into a photo ... here's a triple
treat of closeups for you!

Think that steel grey isn't for Christmas?  Maybe Fa la la tickles your fancy more than HO HO HO?  you just might like this version more...

More of that gorgeous Alexandra Renke paper from a few Christmases ago - my little guys have had such a good time decorating!

Now let's go see where the inspiration for Sketch #398 comes from, shall we?  OH!  You can make more than one card this week, too!  wink, wink!  we won't be mad! lol

Colorado Craft: Wishing You Happiness for both cards - are they in stock yet??
Altenew Caps Bold for the Fa La La
Altenew Fine, Bold, and Classic alphas for the ho, Ho, HO!

Inspired By #150... deer Santa!

"Deer, Santa"  get it?  Well, it was the perfect opportunity to print out another sheet of my custom letter to Santa from my little self, complete with misspelled words, and confessions of sorts.

Here's today's take on that thought:  a little sucking up cannot hurt this time of year...

I just love that Santa in our inspiration photo this week - maybe a vintage look for your card?  Can't wait to see it in our IB150 gallery!

Let's Squash It! Challenge 2

Hmmm a Christmas themed embossing folder?  Hope the gals at Let's Squash It challenge 2 think it does!  lol  But if it doesn't, I sure had fun making this card anyway!  It features a wonderful embossing folder from Richard Garay.

This snowy folder was sent to so many of my friends - every time I found it at Hobby Lobby I bought another!  It's such a beauty - see if you agree... I'll give you a close-up first...

I can't imagine a more beautiful spot for a Christmas kiss under the Mistletoe!  This gorgeous Mistletoe Bundle from Memory Box was a birthday gift from a dear friend, and honestly, I couldn't wait to get it in my machine!  and dust it with 'snow' for this Wintery scene!

Almost time for the 'boss' to be home ... better get posting, and cooking!  Thanks for the visit!

Altenew Inspiration Challenge November 2020

Between the loads of fun I had on Monday, I contemplated the November 2020 Altenew Inspiration photo.  For a girl whose favorite color is grey, this was truly a challenge!  I love Erum's card, and her fabulous videos are another treat I indulge in on Monday each week.

There is another new Poinsettia in my stash ... Altenew's Modern one.  It has really beautiful sentiments, too.  I reached for my water color pan set, and here's where Erum's tropical vibe took me - btw those little tropical leaves are from my snippets box - from Waffle Flower Craft.

Since this sentiment [Altenew - Apothecary Labels] is quite prominent in navy -
I'll share this one with

Thanks so much for stopping by ... means so much to me!

Thank you Altenew!!!

No peeking!

Today is my birthday ... and the title of this post has special meaning today!  I was a very good girl  [Santa are you reading this?]  and didn't open ONE single card that arrived before today!!  May I say, there were many happy, beautiful wishes, and you each made me feel very special, and much loved - so thank you, one and all!!

Now then, shall we play cards?  Just one today - but I could barely stand to keep this one to myself much longer.  MFT's Present Time's characters were masked, and stamped to create a little peek at what Christmas morning looks like in Snowman Land!

Hope you're enjoying your day!

CAS[E] this Sketch #397 Retro week!

Today, I'm sharing the first of a month-long share of my newest collection of stamps from Colorado Craft, illustrated by the one and only Anita Jeram!  think you don't know her?  Just remember one of the favorite children's books called Guess how much I Love You?  It will all come back to you ... and IF you didn't read that book to your children, or grands - do so now!

CTS#397 is a Retro Sketch from August 2016 ... shown here:

I've taken a great amount of  artistic license this time, moving the main items to the bottom of my card ... they just fit better there on my slimline card!

Aren't they adorable??  Each week I'll be sharing another card using another set - hope you like them!

So!  Did you play along in 2016?  Take a peek, then why not reinvent your own card?
We can't wait to see it!
