A crafty weekend!

Tom and I got our craft on over the weekend!  Yes, he is my best bud, and enjoys getting crafty with me - I can tell you he got a few smiles in line at Michael's, too!  He was the only guy in the entire store, and not one complaint about the 50 people in line.  Yes.  I do know how lucky I am =]

I'm delighted to be showcasing one of our little string trees - with my card using a wonderful Technique Tuesday set, using one of their gorgeous Greenhouse Society sets from 2015:  Holly! [I'm hoping the 2016 Thistle will be finding its way into my Christmas stocking!  any other Braveheart fans out there?]

 Distress ink water coloring

You may remember my little paper houses?  Though I haven't made the 2016 version yet, we're happy with the addition of the trees, and love their place of honor in our new home.

those little tea lights are placed inside in the evening, but this soft morning light looks pretty, too!

I'm nearly there with my Christmas cards - it's time to get them in the mail!

Thank you for stopping by!  It makes my spirits bright!

Oh, how festive, Michele! Love your beautiful exposition, especially the trees, they are amazing and homey. And your card is beautiful, love traditional colors and image is sweet.
P.S. It's nice to have somebody, who shares your crafty passion... but I don't take my hubby to Michael's, he spends twice more time there and three times more money then me 🙄

What a warm, fabulous holiday display you've put together for your home, Michele. The conical twine trees are delightful and the perfect addition to this display. Oh, and your TT holiday card is stunning too :-)

Gorgeous, gorgeous card, Michele! How do you do it time after time. You create such wonderful cards. I'm in awe. And then...you create other fabulous projects, too! Love the village. Love that your guy gets right in there with you. That's fabulous. You've got such cute gnomes (my mom would have LOVED you! Plus...you live in Michigan...where she grew up). Dang, I wish I could craft with you! :) Hugs!

Beautiful village, Michele, but your holly card blew me away! It looks like a painting, professionally matted and framed! It's your best yet! Hugs, Darnell

You have a perfect place to display your little houses and your rustic new trees, Michele. I love your card with it's lacy panel and pp border. Great watercoloring too.
