CAS[E] this Sketch #204

N@ Ali is the creator of our Sketch this week ... always a pleasure.  Now I'm going to post her fab Sketch here ... but, please, be sure to keep a really open mind when I post my card?

I had a little set on my desk that was really crying for some attention before it got filed away ...  ready?  go...

Wplus9 Woodland Basics dies; Memory Box sentiment from So many things to love from Impress.

As our Winter is so very dark and dreary at the moment, I'm forced to re-think how I am photographing my cards ... this set up seems to get the best natural light, from a North facing side of the house.

Okay.  Off we go to the CTS blog ... I know you will do better than I did with N@'s sketch!

Altenew January Inspiration Challenge

A challenge is a great way to start our crafty New Year, and I'm always so inspired by Altenew's Inspiration Challenge photos - this month's is no exception.

Here is where it took me ... a little oval piece of this darling Pinkfresh paper provided just the perfect yellow ... and Altenew's Beautiful Day provided the darling flowers ...don't you think?

a Cheesecloth background stamp, and Morning Frost ink added that bit of grey in their color graphic.
The lovely Dark Chocolate cardstock was a perfect compliment to their Espresso Dye Ink... I didn't think it needed one bit of coloring.

I have found my mojo... YAY!
Thanks to all the challenges in our blogging world!

Thanks for dropping by today ...

Ellen Hutson Mix it Up Challenge

Okay.  What do you get when you give a girl the Essentials by Ellen Mondo Poinsettia stamps and dies, and the Avery Elle Laurels set?  This:

MFT background stamp; Distress inks for water-coloring
Inside:  "... most definitely the berries!"
Why yes, you can see I'm still obsessing about blueberries ... I think that Poinsettia works - don't you?  I LOve to use Christmas-y sets in a new way ... do you?

I'm sure I have a few more [hint, hint] that I will love to use for the Mix it Up Challenge ...

thanks for the visit ... always my pleasure!

The Heart Desires #8

The Heart Desires continues to pique my interest with their fabulous Mood Board #8 this month ... take a look for yourself:

I am a huge blueberry fan, so I couldn't resist choosing that frozen gorgeousness in the corner ... this time.

Clear embossed for a bit of frozen-shine, these are cute little blooms chosen from the Altenew set called Simple Flowers - another beauty from May Parks.

Thanks for stopping by today ... you've all been very quiet, but I do notice if you've stopped by, and appreciate the visit very much!  Hope you're well, and just snuggled in to wait for Spring!

CAS[E] this Sketch #203

Happy 2017 everyone!!!  I am honestly happy to have a fresh start, in this New Year ... not usually one to make resolutions, but it's wonderful to try to put my best foot, and happiest outlook forward each day of the year ... so try, try again will be my wake-up thought, and prayer each day.

How exciting that Chrissy has honored me by choosing a few of my sketches/cards for CTS 2017!  Thanks, Chrissy!

Here is your inspiration for this week:

A fabulous time of year to be thankful for all we have, and the gifts we've received during the holidays.  So, for CTS #203, this is the thank you card I made that inspired our Sketch:

A lovely little slip of vellum for an overlaid panel =]

I do hope this card inspires you to play cards with us this week ... that little break was great, but getting back to crafting feels marvelous!

See you in the gallery!

Fusion is celebrating 3 years!

Happiest New Year to you all!

I'm keeping the celebration going at the invitation of Karren Johnson, aren't I the lucky one who gets to celebrate the 3rd anniversary with Fusion?!   Oh YOU get to play along, and celebrate, too!!

Hmmm?  What did I find in my arsenal of goodness to represent this darling little Wintery scene?  Oh don't think for a moment I was done with that Pine Bough embossing folder!
AND a new little Altenew set just happened to find its way into my 'stocking!'

For me, a true Fusion - the photo & the Sketch!

Thank you, Karren for the invitation, and congratulations to your fabulous Fusion challenge, and awesome team!  Cheers to the next 3 years!

December Pin-Sights Challenge

Ellen kindly extended the December 2016 Pin-sights challenge ... oh! does she know us, or what?  I am as grateful for that as anyone ... especially because it gave me one more chance to use the 12 Days set in a fun little way.

You've seen the Challenge mood board, right?  Here's another chance:

December Pin-Sights Challenge Photo

You won't have to go far to see where I found my inspiration ...  keep my silly sense of humor in mind, however.

Essentials by Ellen: 12 Days by Julie - Advent by Julie
simple heat embossed, add a dab of Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry gold paint: voila!

Happy, indeed!  I must use that chicken again, very soon!
