Happy Valentine's Day!

Hello, my friends!  I'll make this Valentine post brief - I know you have much more romantic things to do today than hang out with me!!

I made my hubby a different Valentine than that cookie - I just could not resist this cute couple... and since we love to fish, it works:

Look at all the hearts I have from that die:  Had to put them to good use!

I colored a few and I added a few of them to the shaker mix - these silver 

sequins remind me of fish scales!  Isn't that romantic? LOL

I happen to adore the host of Freshly Made Sketches #572 and I'm so grateful for my recent win - what better way to say thank you than to play again, and again?

Time to get those fun beach bums out again!

I cut a circle and used a die to cut a 'wave' and 'setting sun' from one.

then used the Sketch panel for the beach!

Altenew- Spellbinder Collab class!

I'm interrupting my normal Monday 'fun' with a great big happy birthday wish to my friend Marcia!  Hope you enjoy every moment of this gorgeous sunshine-y day my friend!!

I took a collaboration class Thursday-Saturday with Altenew and Spellbinder - it kept me crafting and was a little outside of my usual style.  But you know me by now - I made it work!

One stamp TWO challenges!

I made a wonderful lunch and Tom volunteered to do the dishes - I'm not passing up on that opportunity and will take this time to post the cards I made yesterday for Color Hues #57: Coral and Sage, and my take on Freshly Made Sketches #571!

I was so happy to revisit Pinkfresh Studios' Miss Your Smile stamp and stencils.  First up for Color Hues, these are the shades of Coral and Sage inks I used:

Stamped first in Pigment's Glow ink, then layered the coral and sage inks with 

each of the four stencils in the set.

Slimline cards are always so hard to photograph, aren't they?!

Jen M's sketch was the instigator of that slimline card... here's my card for her and I hope she doesn't mind that I flipped her Sketch:

The Flower Challenge #77

 

We're baaaaaaaaack!!  I hope you're ready for the next year of fun with 

The Flower Challenge!  Are you ready to get some of those new goodies inky?  I was so ready for it that I made TWO cards!  Yes, you may have been given a sneak peek of things to come when I posted this card to Altenew's Inspiration Challenge.  I had purchased the bundle that included the layering stencils so I won't be 

cheating one bit  ;]

It all started with this glorious new bundle from 

Altenew called Magnificent Branch...  which I quickly stamped onto half sheets: one on Bristol and another onto watercolor paper ...

Today, I'm highlighting the panel that was stamped then stenciled on Bristol... using these gorgeous inks from The Stamp Market and Altenew...

The stamp is so large it wraps around to the backside of my side-folded

 landscape card - always a treat, right?  

This set has so many wonderful sentiments - always important when I make purchasing decisions.
