CAS[E] this Sketch #192

Sam Simpson's Sketch this week gave me the perfect opportunity to make a special birthday card for a special friend - my oldest, in fact, in duration - not years!  Miriam and I picked blueberries when she visited last year - our first visit in 50+ years!

A very new [and especially sweet] friend in Germany had a little I.G. contest recently.  Guess who won?  I am so lucky, in so many ways ... thanks Maria!

The Heart Desires & Fall Coffee Hop!

Fall is definitely here, and one of the many things we have to look forward to is the Coffee Loving Cardmakers hop!  So many prizes, and fun to be had by all!

 

I'm so happy to have made TWO cards yesterday... The Heart Desires September inspiration was the impetus:

I LOve the colors, and those stripes get me EVERY time!  I may just be back with another using the sketch ... which I totally forgot this time ... oops!  Leaving it 'sentiment-less' was intentional, however =]

An adored little gift from a special friend, that MFT mini fringe is SO fun!

SSS provides the blooms, paint chips provide the colors!

Taking Time Out for Challenge #66

It's easy to see how I was inspired by the beautiful view outside this gorgeous Time Out Autumn window ...

I quickly reached out for my favorite stitched leaves from Lawn Fawn and, boom... here it is!

 

Though I don't usually use props in my photos,

I couldn't resist leaving my newest little tea pot in the picture.

you see, I'm still looking for the perfect light!



 

It is a rather gloomy day today, but this card [with all that gorgeous grey] makes me happy in spite of it!

CAS[E] this Sketch #191

I am so grateful to my team-mates who create these fabulous sketches ... following Chrissy's lead, my card came together from a few snippets of a favorite paper collection, and four simple die cuts! 

The unpacking is going well, and by next week I'm sure to remember which corner to turn ... finding a perfect spot to take my card photos is presenting a conundrum!

My Favorite Things Superstar 2016

This is my very first card made in our new home - after a month of no crafting, I will admit to being a bit rusty, and out of practice ... but I am so excited to enter the MFT Superstar 2016 contest! 

I've reorganized my new craft room - you know what that means, right?  I found HEAPS of darling little sets I'd never laid ink to!
