Runway Inspired

First off, may I just say this: I want this outfit, and the body to put it on!

Now that I have that off of my chest... RIC#67 just cries out for my hounds-tooth Hero Arts stamp... well, not this time!  [maybe second helpings?]

I have a great little 6x6 pad from BasicGrey called Out of Print which is just about empty... trying to use every scrap!  I've had no problem because the news print papers are really fun.  Therefore, with a little help from PTI birthday die and divine Button twine, Paper Smooches "again" sentiment from their Birthday Sampler, and a few MME enamel all things Chalk dots I give you:

Inside sentiment:  "It's always better than the alternative, babe."

Moxie's Foxy Challenge

Teri at Moxie Fab World Blog keeps me smiling with every post.  I knew I'd want to play along with the Foxy Challenge and Foxy Foxes Challenge in the Moxie Fab World - you should see the fun foxy stuff she's added for inspiration... would I buy the shoes?  Probably not... or maybe! =/

While shopping around a local craft store, I stumbled across a tiny little cellophane baggy of Confetti in forest friend shapes - yep, there was my fox, along with a few forest friends =]

Teri, I hope this makes you smile:

And, just in case you've noticed I've been MIA, this is what I've been up to the last few days!
The bounty of Autumn harvest abounds!!

New to the neighborhood

CASE Study Challenge # 207 convinced me to add a little ditty using my little favorite neighborhood stamp set.  Several of you have asked me for details about this set from Heidi Grace.  I've done a bit of searching, found several similar sets from her series, but not this one, called Home Phrases.  Sorry about that. Keep searching for it - I do love it so.

I'd not used the window stamps yet, so decided they could stand up very well to the vellum/embossed/colored treatment from our Debby. See if you agree:

My clapboards didn't line up quite as I'd hoped ... but
let's admit, the whole neighborhood,
and many of my new neighbors, are a bit wonky on occasion,
which is what I love most about them =]

"hello" from Paper Smooches die cut from PTI Razzleberry CS
And a lovely, lovely slip of vellum... sigh.

Debby Hughes - CASE Study

I have never kept my adoration for Debby Hughes a secret... heck, given the opportunity to sing her praises another time?  I run to take advantage of the opportunity.  I don't know about the rest of you crafty folks... CASEing her at CASE Study #207 is a bit daunting to me!

Enter a pair of hummingbirds from Wplus9... my first attempt with this set!  A touch of gold for a sentiment from SSS just for Debby - Ms. Hughes if you're crafty!!

One of our favorite birds - we have at least six buzzing the feeders.

On occasion I can even entice them for a nibble up-close-and-personal =]
A little sidenote... the male ruby-throats get their beautiful little red throats one
miniscule red feather at a time... before that happens, they look as if they have freckles- see!

I've done my best [with several tries] Debby.  Hope you love it!

"Under" the weather =[

CASology Week 111 - with allergy season well underway in Michigan, and a certain little yellow "flower" (see below) Tom insists on keeping around for the butterflies, it is easy to explain how Alice could quickly be in Wonder Under-land if the rabbit hole lead to our yard.  Add two of my kids, and three of my grandkids!!  All for the love of this guy:

Okay. It is rather extraordinarily gorgeous =]

For you, my sniffling family members:

Oh will you just look at the goldenrod in the background?  Ah chooo-se to stay indoors!

Cloud dies from Papertrey Ink - oh look, one from vellum =/ For the sentiment, I did a little careful surgery on a few of W&W's stamps from the BB and Seasons set - see if you can find the willing patients.  I love that the possibilities are endless with their fab sets and they heal without complications =]  I'm finding many uses for the circles leftover from MFT's Polka Dot Cover-up die. Stacked, they make great dimensionals - and rain drops!

Hey - look at that!!  A NBUS - the little honeycomb edge embosser that came with the Cuttlebug Honeycomb folder!  Darnell - also for you, honey =] Get a little pun in, and I'm feeling better already!

Reverse Confetti SFYTT for September

I have a wish... in fact I wish it nearly every day, lately.  I wish that I could live next door to each of you wonderful, crafty, talented folks for a week or two!  That is a pretty tall order but, if it were possible, our neighborhood would look something like this:

For Reverse Confetti's Sketch For You To Try #16 the "Go Together" set might have been designed to go along with American Crafts Abode PP - a real oldie- but- goody.  The tiny little heart I've added to their darling little house is from W+9's Love Notes.  Yes.  Another bit of vellum =/  But who could think to hide these charming little homes?

I'm sharing what I often do in the interior... and, this time, I couldn't write a better sentiment than the one included in this set.  "Together is the best place to be" is stamped with SU Chocolate Chip dye ink onto a 3x5 inch piece of lighter weight CS and tucked behind the houses I've fussy-cut and to which I've carefully applied just a thin line of adhesive to its bottom edge.

Okay, ready?  Everyone choose a house in my little imaginary neighborhood!!  Can you even imagine the stash we'd have on hand?  OMG =]  I'd bake a cake... a very big cake! =]

CAS[E] This Sketch #90

What a stunning sketch Chrissy has given us for CAS(E) this sketch #90, right?  All of the DT inspirations were gorgeous, and just what Dr. Mojo ordered!

Of course, the inside sentiment: "I'm thinking of you."

There's that little vellum coverlet again... I cannot help myself.  The Pierced Rectangle is a Die-namics from MFT which I used to cut the gorgeous Pink Paislee PP - this 6x6 is called Color Wash - you'll be seeing more, soon.  The banner and sentiment are from Mama Elephant - Sweet Havana collection - embossed in gold.  Last, but not least, is an all-time favorite die from Memory Box called Delicate Fern - couldn't bear to waste that positive cut =]
