I was so happy to have that win over at the Altenew Inspiration Challenge - that prize helped me buy something I've had my eye on for a few weeks! Just us Girls Stencil Week #764 was the perfect time to ink up my new layering stencil/die set!
If you are aware of my love of birds, you won't be a bit surprised that I'd be playing along with As You See It Challenge #342 this week, too!
I found a pretty way to combine the two challenges - yay!
Thanks so much for this honor AYSI team!
Armed with my Altenew Blossoming Bouquet Stencil and die combo
and a few inks and small blending brushes, I got busy.
Even though I liked the no-line look of this bouquet, it left me
a little flat...
Hope you like it! I might want to add the press plate that adds all
the wonderful details for me... what do you think?

I agree, those lines you added kicked it up a notch, not to mention that pretty little bird! Fabulous, my friend. Always love spotting one of your cards in our JUGs gallery!
You took these flowers from pretty to WOW, my friend! No need for the press plate! A perfect place for this sweet bird to perch!
When you can add your own wonderful details with pencils, who needs a press plate. This is such a fabulous card, Michele, and I adore that bird. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.
What a wonderful combination of products you used to make this awesome card Michele! I love the addition of the Prisma's on the blooms and leaves...adds SO much detail! That birdie and the script on the card base also add so much to this lovely, lovely card. Well done my friend!! Hugs. :0)
Dang, Michele, what a gorgeous card! The stencil is fabulous, and your added details really add so much - ditto for your beautiful bird too! Such perfect coloring! Thanks so much for playing at As You See It!
So pretty! Those pencils are amazing for detail. Thanks for sharing at JUGS!
What a clever idea with those pencils, it has worked a treat. The finished card is wonderful. Love that soft green with the script stamping and your bird is amazing xx
Oh! Absolute perfection once you added the pencil details and the bird and script. It couldn't be prettier. Unless maybe you got the press plate to go with it. It sounds like something you would make good use of. This card is a stunner, Michele!
This little bird looks like he could fly right off your card! The florals are beautiful!
I agree with Leslie, this is absolute perfection! I know what you mean by flat, but boy did you overcome that challenge, Michele. This is truly amazing -- I'm totally in love with all of it, but especially that beautiful bird!
Oh so beautiful, Michele! Wow!
WOW this is beautiful and those added pencil marks really make a difference! Awesome stenciling & designing!!
Wow - what a fabulous card Michele! Your bird is so realistic but adding the pencil detail to the stencil is a revelation; it looked good before, but the detail really does take it up a level! Thank you for sharing over at As You See It this week!
Gorgeous stenciling Michele, and the details you added by hand...wow!!! Beautiful, beautiful!!!! Thanks for sharing this treasure with us at JUGS!
Stunning Michele. Love the details.
Yep those pencils in your artistic hands made all the difference! Gorgeous!
The addition of a little pencil work has made a world of difference! I like your little bird too - quite a realistic looking bird tucked into the magical blooms. The addition of just a hint of text in the background was another magic touch. Thanks for sharing with us at As You See It. :-)
Michele, every new little detail you judiciously add brings your card a little closer to total perfection! I love how you improved on the stenciled image, and added that realistic looking bird, then displayed them on a background of text. Beautiful! Thanks for exploring our theme as As You See It Challenges!
Gorgeous! Those flowers are beautiful and the addition of the colored pencils really finishes them off perfectly. Pretty bird sitting on the stems and I love the added script on the background. Thanks for playing along with us at JUGS!
What an amazing difference the pencil work makes! Then the pop of blue from that fabulous bird! The spots of script are a great touch too. This is just wonderful.
This theme was made for you my friend, and those pencil details really took those blooms to the next level!!
How in the world did I miss this post? I blame the twins. The pencil coloring adds so much--you brought out the "roundness" of the whole composition and I just have to say I LOVE that feathered friend! Congrats on the feature, too!
