Though Valentine's Day [I was recently told] is for your most significant other: spouse, partner, etc. I still am sending lots of love out to you all! My own Valentine took today off, so I'd better make this quick! Since I made lunch, he is in charge of dinner... surprise: It's pizza night!
Freshly Made Sketches #673 is from Jen T. and it's a fun one!
I have this wonderful Honeysuckle Stems layering stamp set from The Greetery that I remind myself to use every year... any type of flower is a good reminder that Spring will come one of these days.
Let me start with this closeup so you can see the subtle layers I've used for Jen's Sketch.
The card base was debossed with my old favorite from Altenew: Dotted Swirls. I cut a framed circle using an Ellen Hutson set then embossed the main circle with a Penny Black Encircled EF, popped it onto my base then added the frame which I left 'un-embossed.'

After much moving/adjusting/flipping I ended up using two of the three stems
I'd inked. Then it was a matter of the sentiment... this one is for my granddaughter
who chose her Winter break from school to have her tonsils out! Sounds like
she's doing great besides having a little soreness - nothing naps and binge-watching-movies
won't take care of.
Okay, that's enough of me barging into your Valentine's Day ... big hugs!

This looks amazing! I love the bright colors against the white. Another extremely successful card using the sketch.
I do love those Honeysuckle stems and need to remember to get mine out and have a play! And I absolutely LOVE your background...both the debossed panel and the dotted circle! Your granddaughter is going to be tickled by this one my friend!! Hugs and healing prayers to your tonsil-less girl! And a very Happy Valentine's Day to you & Tom!! :0)
Glad your granddaughter is doing well! She's sure to love her pretty card... I do! I would have guessed pizza or hot dogs from Tom and I'm sure there's dessert too! XO
Gosh, I wish I could send everyone a Valentine, but love and friendship can be shared all year. That's a really sweet sentiment you used, and I love the sketch. You did an amazing job with it giving texture to both foreground and background. Of course, the honeysuckle stems are beautiful. I fall for them every time you use them. Happy recovery to your granddaughter! Naps and binge watching sounds good to me! I'd have to add a little ice cream, too. Happy Valentine's evening!
What a sweet Valentine's for your granddaughter! I love all the textures and interest, and then those beautiful blooms are lovely too. Hope your Valentine's was as sweet as that card you made
Happy Valentine's Day a day late, my friend. Love shouldn't be limited to our significant other. Love is to share with others. I always love your red honeysuckle, my friend, and it works perfectly for this sketch and that embossed circle! I hope your granddaughter recovers soon. I still remember how sore my throat was afterwards.
You are the bestest grandmama! Your granddaughter is sure to feel oodles better after receiving this beauty! Hope you and Tom had a lovely day!
