Cloisonné anyone?

A funny thing happened on the way to making a card - while digging in my stash, I came upon a piece of Yupo paper with dots of pearly alcohol inks.  First, I noticed that the colors fit in the Altenew February 2022 Inspiration Challenge

Then I reimagined it as a pretty cloisonné flower for the February CAS Mix Up Challenge!

Our host, Susan, has shared a few techniques for creating cloisonné on paper.  I took my own path and just hope they will be okay with it...
I just love the shiny, pearly, 'enameled' look of it!

Mixed Media: Stamping, heat embossing in gold, and alcohol inks

I found this example of cloisonne on the interweb...

Okay, off I go to deliver this card to the appropriate galleries... hope you are having a great week!

Beautifully done Michele. I do like the inks better than maybe using glossy mag pages.

Well, golly girl, I think you've hit the nail on the head. It has all the components of cloisnone to me. Love the pretty colors of alcohol ink you achieved on this piece which, by the way, looks fabulous against that cover diecut. A real mixed media creation.

I LOve your cloisonne AI flower card, Michele! It's absolutely gorgeous! The pearly shimmer adds so much elegance to the flower, and the way AI inks blended is so beautiful. The cover plate background and the font style of the sentiment are perfect for the flower.
