CAS[E] this Sketch # 355 RETRO

It's retro week for CTS355 … do you remember this one?  I sure do!

Would you like to see my May 2016 version?  here you go:

I still kinda like it … but there are new [to me] goodies on my craft table that were calling to me!  I was so happy to see this little lovely Aviary stamp and die set in the sale section at Pinkfresh Studios after Christmas!  There's always some really wonderful deals in their Sale Section!

a bit of masking allowed me to give my
bird an escape route!

This pattern paper, from the Indigo Hills collection, didn't have any of that greenish yellow I used to Copic Color my little tweetie bird … so how do you remedy that situation?  Add a bit of Copic coloring to the paper!  Those splats in the Sketch gave me the perfect way to do it - to music!

We'd love to see your cards in the CTS355 gallery - and also love it when you share the original in your post, if you did happen to play with CTS171!

Both cards are fabulous, Michele! I love how you created an escape route for your sweet little bird and how you added color with your Copic markers...very clever, my friend!

Cute!!!! One of my favorite colors of green, too. Gotta love it. I've had my eye on that Indigo Hills paper, but am trying to be good....You make it very difficult, you know... Darling images. Another amazing card. LOVE it. Sending hugs, but hopefully not snow across the lake. xo Bev

I like both versions Michele, but the 2020 take is pretty sweet!

Both are sweet....and the fresh color you used on today's version is very spring-like, unlike today's weather!!!

I remember that first set well, Michele, and what a good buy on the second one. I love the sentiment that goes with the cute little birdie perfectly.

I love this little tweety pie and that he can go in and out at will! A wonderful sentiment too! If we started each day with a happy song, wouldn't the world be a better place!

Clever, clever, clever, Michele! Love the singing bird on an escape route, and the matching greenish yellow addition on the pattern paper!

I LOVE both your cards!! The first one looks like you might have made it a week ago. It is definitely YOUR STYLE, Michele. The second one is awesome with the bold coloured card base and that sweet bird in a cage. Love how you've cut around the sentiment. xx
