I am so happy to be playing along with
CAS Stencil's April Challenge! My sweet friend Barb is Hostess this month, and she has chosen a really fun technique, and given us plenty of inspiring videos to watch - thanks Barb!!
I've borrowed leaves from Laura, and
the neutral of kraft from Yana!
I even added my very own twist! Check it out...
After laying down a base of dimensional paste through The Leaf Effect stencil from W&W, and while still wet, I gave it a press with an MFT Diagonal Stripe background stamp! I love the way it turned out … I hope Barb does, too!
Those scripty words are from Stamplorations, and the 'labels' are stamped with EBE Random Sayings Vol. II.
Here's a question for all of you... am I the only one that saves every blooming thing? Those little squiggles are a 'left over' from another die cut - and I love the way they worked here!
I'm all caught up with blog posts, and laundry! So I'll take advantage of these few spare hours in my day... thanks for spending a bit of YOUR time with me!

LOVE this!! what a fun and unique design. I come to expect nothing less from you my friend : )
I am a saver too. I have a big box of die cuts that I didn't use or pieces of an image or background snippet I know will come in handy some day! LOL I actually give them away a lot as I have some friends who love raiding my "bin"
I just love the snippets you added here! Simply Splendid indeed : )
Taking it just that one step further! What a cool effect to stamp on the paste, I've not seen that done before and the stipes were the perfect choice. Thanks yet again for the inspiration!
Oh my gosh, Michele...what a great way to take stenciling to the next level! I love how you added the stripes to your leaves and your Kraft card base is just perfect! I'm also loving the beautiful scripty font on your sentiment...a really stunning card, my friend!
Thanks so much for playing along with us at CAS Stencil!
I must say, I am imPRESSED!! I have yet to venture into the dimensional paste but you've done it beautifully. Heck, it took me along time to get over the mess glitter makes LOL! Fabulous card Michele!
How clever and creative! The added stripes look fantastic and I love the swirly sentiment!
Stamping over wet paste ... that's a new one to me, Michele. This is AMAZING! I love the look. You have created a whole new technique. Thanks for sharing your beautiful card with us at CAS Stencil! xx
Clever alert, clever alert! Oh my goodness, Miss Clever! What a great idea to stamp into the paste. It looks amazing. And so does your card. I keep some things, but not all, else I'd be buried in schtuff. Those little swirls add such a nice finishing touch. So glad you kept them! Wonderful card!
Well I guess being away from the craft room didn't stunt your creativity, Michele. In fact I'm taking a cue from your book "What a great im-press-ion you leaf". ;) Fabulous card!!!
Beautiful.....and an brilliant stencil/paste/stamp technique!! Tucking this one away to try in the near future!
Hope the laundry wasn't too harrowing...glad you're done. And really glad you shared this amazing card. Using the background stamp for additional texture makes it extraordinary as do those super cute curlicues next to the pretty sentiment. And, yes, I save my bits, too.
Love the white on kraft Michelle - and your creative stamping over the stenciling! what a great look and great idea! and Yes - I do save funny shapes from die cuts - but usually lose them before I find a place to use them - yours worked great here accenting your die cut sentiment! thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Stencil
Saw this and had to stop by and say how fabulous this truly is! So clever of you to stamp while the paste was wet! You are going to start a trend with that genius idea! Yes, I keep everything!
Along with your creative genes I think a genius gene snuck in there! I love the leaves.....fabulous with the added stripe! A wonderful lightbulb moment to do that!
This is such a COOL card my friend! LOVE the idea of using a bg stamp over the wet paste...how do you come up with these ideas??!! I know, I know, your brain works in mysterious ways!! But anyway, FABULOUS card Michele!! :0)
Michele I love those stripes in the leaves, so fun and the squiggles so so so cute.
Love your brown and white tones, embossing paste stenciling with the added dry embossing over your wet leaves..genius, my friend. Beautiful die cut sentiment. I thought the swirls were part of the die cut. Worked perfectly with the sentiment. TFS Michele and joining us at CAS Stencil Card Challenge. Hugs..Nancy
What an interesting technique you tried, Michele! Stamping over the wet stenciled paste - the results are fantastic! I'd love to try it too! I love the white on Kraft and the little squiggles are perfect for the die-cut sentiment! (I thought they were part of the die-set.)
Hideko xx
Such a cool and clever way to add texture to those lovely leaves, Michele you're a technique trend setter! What a sentiment ... simply splendid ... another of my favourite phrases ... love it! Hugs, Anita :)
