CAS[E] this Sketch #238

Has anyone else had a hard time with this short week?  Honestly, one would think I was working, or had kids going back to school!!   I know that page has been turned!

I'm thrilled to be playing cards this week with a Sketch from Leigh Penner!  Check out CTS#238:

It is amazing, and so very versatile, right?  I have taken inspiration from it to make a card for a dear friend who is dealing with cancer in her family ... never easy.

" ... is a day that reminds me to say thank you
for the sunshine you bring to my life."

A little Wink of Stella adds such a sweet touch, right?

Cutting the card base down just a smidge [1/4 inch at top and side]
allows me to leave the elements extending off, without needing a special envelope.

We all hope you all are inspired to join us - you add so much sunshine to our gallery each week!

Your friend is sure to love this beautiful card, Michele! Your color combo is so pretty (LOVE the gray) and your sparkly butterfly is so sweet! Fabulous take on the sketch as always, my friend!

I'm sure your friend will feel the hugs enclosed with this special card, Michele. And it is very special, too. The grays and reds are just stunning, and the little sparkly butterfly is the perfect finishing touch. Sweet card. Bev

Today will be the end of a 3 day work week and I feel like it's one of the longest weeks for some reason! LOL Nothing terrible happened, just have been all mixed up on days and all that. Ha! Ha! Creature of routine much? Your card is beautiful, Michele! What lovely gray colors that sure help the red pop! Sweet vines of leaves. Adore the red sparkly butterfly. Lovely sentiment, too. What a lovely card to send to a special friend in need of a perk me up. You are very thoughtful! Have a good day and happy weekend! Hugs! :)

Greeting from Portugal Michele just had to say the dark grey against the red is so striking and the perfect sentiment for what your friend is going through xx

I love how turned those blooms upside down--and the colors are beautiful and uplifting!

So thoughtful of you to make a card for your friend, Michele. And in your signature gray.

This is so lovely, Michele. The pop of color against the grays is a great metaphor for the sunshine, I think. :) And "short weeks" always feel extra long to me. A day off on Monday seems to make the next four drag on FOREVER. I can't wait to retire!

Those greys are so elegant and gorgeous, Michele ... fabulous with the pop of persimmon ... and extra special (of course) with the shimmering WOS! Hugs, Anita :)

Oh, I like this! The pop of color on the gray is so pretty and what a fun take on the sketch. Holiday weeks always throw me off. Then Shawn was off at the end of the week, so that messed me up even more and he took today off too! I'll never get straightened out LOL!!!

Michele, your card is just lovely.
I am just back from surviving IRMA. My electric came on 20 mins after I walked in the door. It is card-making time... I need to relax. What an amazing and awful week all wrapped up together. All those I love are safe, we sustained fixable damage... but there is such devastation here in FL. I can only pray for others right now. I am going to forget Irma for this evening and come up with some cards. I will start cleaning up tomorrow; the mess will wait.
LOVE your inspiration. I am going to pull out the same set and see what I can do. THX. eliz
