12 Kits of Occasions - Christmas in July!

I normally have a really hard time creating Christmas-themed cards when it is 90 degrees.  Having said that, I received the most darling little Kit from Marybeth - our hostess with the kit-building-mostest host for this month.

Here is a little peek at the joys of Christmas in July we had to work with:

There is a saying:  self-made cards ... this kit was loaded with them - I'm wrong to claim them, but here goes:

You must all remember "Frosty" right?
This one will hopefully have a cooling affect for a very sweet friend, in a very hot locale!

I put a few snippets from Marybeth's lovely papers to use in my 'forest' for these cute friends.

I couldn't resist decorating this lovely frame - much easier than a shaker, with the same fun effect!
Isn't that gold and gray a lovely combo?

Marybeth has sent me many of these lovely scalloped panels ... I was thrilled to find another in the kit!  Thank you, Marybeth!  Could I resist a white on white card?  NO!!

In most every kit, I find a 'what to do' element.  Here are the fun 'buttons' that Marybeth included:

Those 'holly leaves' are really the Mondo Magnolia ones from E.H.  =]

Could you resist turning this negative, into a positive?

Glad you can't see me in that reflection - I'm most likely still in my pjs!

My final project was to used these already inked, already die-cut, and fabulous florals in a different way:

It is a bit difficult to photograph a candle in daytime.
I resisted adding a sentiment so it could be left out after Christmas.
No.  it isn't real, but battery-operated =]

Hopefully I didn't lose you along this long post!  Marybeth thank you for filling my day with this joy-filled kit!  xx

Now off we go to see what my sister 12 Kits of Occasions girls have been up to!  I adore them, and every single card they make!  xx

These are all so wonderful Michele, love the negative space die cut gold word panel... actually I love them all lol. You are amazing making your Chrissy cards now, at least now you know how we feel in the middle of Summer at Christmas trying to eat a large roast meal... nowadays it's usually seafood and salad and so easy!

I just adore what you've done here! Totally opposite from my thinking, but that's what 12 Kits is about, isn't it? I see critters, and color them. You use them as is, and it's fabulous cas! Speaking of cas, your white on whites are my positive faves! Cas perfection? And the negative gold die cut? So glad I didn't toss that. Love that one with the gold dots peeking through. Lady, you're amazing!

Girl you are AMAZING one surprise after another! You did it you found a way to use the clear buttons that I made, I didn’t even use them, I love that holly card!!! Your white on white cards are so elegant and look beautiful! Loving that gorgeous candle you made what a great idea! I have to look at that one again! You rocked my kit and I thank you Michele!

Wow! this is a spectacular set of cards Michele. A few that really grab me - I love the stitched dotted panel behind the snowperson, your white frame with the bead garland is so smart, and probably my favorite. The reuse of the negative die cut panel on the dotted background is festive and fun!

Fun fun fun! I really love how you used the paper strips on your black and white background. Tucking that idea away for future use! The candle is a lovely idea!

You completely ROCKED Marybeth's beautiful kit!! These are all exceptionally pretty Michele. Two peas in a pod we are using the same paper with the snowman and the same sentiment with the large snowflake!! Your candle design is so pretty. I'm sure you'll find a special place for it in your new home ;)

Lose me? You had me glued to my screen checking out all your fabulous cards and candle holder, Michele! My ear-to-ear smile started at my first glimpse of that ADORABLE snowman Birthday card and didn't waver until the last project. That Kit looks amazing and it's great to get a head start on holiday cards as we know all too soon how fast it'll be here. But shhhh ... we'll just enjoy this wonderful, summer weather for a bit longer, won't we?

Wow, beautiful and so amazing! How do you always come up with such creative designs, things I would never have thought of! Love every one! The all white card is stunning and your card with the magnolia leaves and fun buttons looks fabulous. Of course, I casually threw my negative of Merry Christmas away and then see your gorgeous gold design. And lastly, there's that perfect floral accent for your candle!
