12 Kits of Occasions - A birthday to Die [cut] for!

Joyce, of Cards by the Sea, is our fantastic hostess this month - is that not the cutest theme?  A Birthday to Die [cut] For!!  Joyce loaded that package with more fun stuff than a girl could ask for!  Plenty of dies, fantastic pattern papers - I am so wishing I'd had a little more time to play!  Here's a peek:

Here are my cards ... plenty of ideas still running around in my head!  But I'm a wee bit late to the party, so I'd better hurry!

I have adored this circular birthday greeting since the very first time Joyce used it ... SO happy to have one to play with!  In case you can't see it, I've created a cupcake, and this is the view from above ... with the little flame?  maybe?  =]

Next, I've taken this opportunity to use a new background stamp ... and added a few of Joyce's balloons to the mix.

Just when you think this one was WAY too easy ... think again!  There are two dozen little itsy bitsy pieces of foam holding that baby on here!  Let's not forget the selective choice of letters to remove, and a way to keep the others in!

LOve this cover plate!!

Just one more today - another attempt at humor:

What did one birthday cake say to the other?
"What's one more candle?
It's the years you should be worried about!!!"

Pa dum dum!  [is this thing on?!]

Joyce you've put together a terrific kit, and if I weren't knee deep in life right now,  you'd be sick of me about now!

Please run by the 12 Kits of Occasions blog post for all the incredible cards from my team-mates - they're amazing I'm telling you! - and a list of supplies we're lucky to play with!

OMG! Only you Michele - this is a cupcake view from above!! How the heck did you think of that? Very clever my dear! And the fun cover plate with the letters strategically removed - yes .. I can appreciate the cuts in and out all held in place! LOL! And the two cakes together absolutely yummy! Delighted as always!

You just never cease to amaze me, Michele! In the middle of all that you have going on, you have created the most AMAZING cards! Your color combo and background papers on the circular b-day card is perfection, and I love the bold polka dots and balloons on the 2nd one...not to mention the fabulous background on this card! And, 'Two dozen little itsy bitsy pieces of foam' on your 3rd card? Oh, my...that's what I call a dedicated crafter :)! I love how you included your sense of humor to this kit, especially with those charming B-Day cakes and pretty pink papers on your last card...You ROCKED this kit, my friend...that's for sure!

Okay, that cupcake is brilliant Michele. Again...I love the way your mind works. All the cards are such fun. Sending hugs as you make your way through.

You did well in a limited amount of time, Michele, but I know your mind is always working so the ideas flow. It's just stealing time to make them that's the hitch.

Love everything, Michele. I would not have known that you were short on time. So many things to love here--how clever to use that spiraled sentiment as the top of a cupcake. And, the joke with the cakes--that is pure Michele and made me laugh.

Incredible! Your bird's eye view of the "cupcake"...brilliant, your cakes together...hilarious, your selective highlighting of the sentiments...awesome. And I love that we used similar products together on the balloon card. (Wishing mine looked more like yours. : ) )
