The Card Concept 36

The Card Concept always has just wonderful inspiration photos... this one is no exception:

Just when you think I might go for those cupcakes ... and oh I would if they were sitting here on my desk ... I've gone totally rogue again ... I know! who has taken over my brain!?

A Clean and Simple, slightly layered, card:

Therese Calvird-esque striped edge!  amy T's milk glass!

The Winnie & Walter's Lola's Bouquet has been sitting on my desk for a few weeks time.  I was so thrilled to win Joni Andaya's gorgeous set as Lola is my Mom's name, and Mom would be so happy to know she has a darling namesake, too - my granddaughter Lola Grace:

Here's Lola feeding a hummingbird!

It is no doubt I am influenced by many of you fabulous designers ... thanks to you all for infiltrating my frontal lobe!

Love your gorgeous card! Question-how did you do the milk glass? Such a sweet photo of your pretty granddaughter and I adore her name. Wow, you must have fantastic habitat for birds. I think I need to visit!

Great card, Michele, and an even greater photo of sweet Lola feeding the hummer through the window!! How cool is that?! I just ordered a hand-held feeder so I could have this experience, only the one I got is teeny-tiny. (So hard to tell size online!) Lola gives me inspiration that I can handle it!! Hugs, Darnell

I have a weakness for cupcakes...white ones. Those look divine!!! Your card caught my eye more, though. ;) Beautiful simplicity! I just love the pop of yellow and the striped green border! L.O.V.E!

Wow Michele, this card is beautiful! I love your take on the inspiration cupcake picture! Oh I so would go for those cupcakes too if they were sitting here. lol I love the stamp set you used, how special that your mother's name was Lola and the stamp set is Lola and even more special is her namesake granddaughter. Such a beautiful picture of her feeding a hummingbird!! I've heard of people who could hand feed them. I love your card!! Hugs, Brenda

I've had the set longer than you and still have not used it. You've inspired me to get it out, Michele. I love the green stripe and that vase - exquisite.

This is simple and stunning. I love that you did something other than a cupcake. I've been pondering this challenge, and was going to try a different direction as well, if I get to it. And, love your granddaughter's name and that is a beautiful picture of her.
