CAS can be pun-y and an all-over pattern can be CAS - don't you think? Sure do hope the team thinks so!

The Heart Desires #15 -Seconds!
I usually save my Sundays for Tom ... six days a week in his lab doesn't leave him much time for fun, so I've given him the day to do whatever he wants!
This gorgeousness from THD #15 was still on my mind - particularly the bottom layer of their gorgeous leafy cake:
I made a quick Sunday lunch and then this:
There is someone special, and very generous who will be finding this little card in her mailbox - soon!
Hope you're having a quiet Sunday ... thanks for spending a few moments with me!
Now... I wonder where Tom is? I wonder if his idea of fun included mowing the lawn?

supplies: Lawn Fawn - stitched leaves; Gina Marie designs- cross-stitched rectangles; copics - light prawn, and blush.

Color Throwdown #454
I've had that lovely Altenew Sketchy Florals on my desk/in my MISTI for two days! I just cannot get enough of it. Allow me to share a bit?
Because of the extraordinary size of this stamp, I was determined today to use the entire image on an A2 sized card. Here are a few of the finished projects - I'm really happy with them - front, and back sides!!
Thanks for putting up with this very photo-heavy post ... I do love to share... xx

Perfectly heat embossed onto PTI linen vellum -
that perfect slip of vellum works every time!
Looks at home on this gorgeous charcoal cardstock -
sentiments front and back, too!
This time, stamped with Versafine onyx black, and splatter stamped with Dusk, Bamboo, and Olive #altenewinks
This MFT Distressed Patterns makes for a fun place to stamp my sentiments - LOve the sentiments!!!
One more: for Color Throwdown #454 - so happy to make kraft cardstock to use - it makes a perfect canvas for a bit of pretty, right?
Now, I ask you... why shouldn't the back of our cards be as pretty as the front?
Notice I used the embossing folder to add some interest to the sentiment strip, and the back of the card?
Thanks for putting up with this very photo-heavy post ... I do love to share... xx

CAS[E] this Sketch #233
It's that time again ... and Hannelie has given us a darling little Sketch this week:
Armed with a new alpha set, I set about making another birthday card! This time, for our very first granddaughter *sigh* who will be 13 in September, on the 13th of September!!! We love her so very much - wish we could keep her 4 forever - but what a darling, bright, and happy teenager she is becoming!
For Anna, and CTS #233:

Altenew August 2017 Challenge

I had just received my selection from Altenew's latest release the day this beautiful Altenew Inspiration Challenge arrived in my inbox ... how could I resist?
Erum's gorgeous card really inspired me to use my new Sketchy Floral... if you haven't made it your own yet, there is something you need to be aware of... it stamps a full 5" x 7" panel! You read that right... and I was able to create two cards with one go of the stamp, and gold heat embossing!
The first is the lower half of the stamped image - splatter-stamped with Altenew Dusk ink, and two Oxides: fossilized Amber, and Vintage Photo.
... that bit of gold peeking from the corner is from Altenew's current card kit.
The upper half of the panel was fussy cut, and turned about for my second card:
This card panel is the Dusk-y card stock from their kit.
Isn't that splatter a fun way to color without really coloring? Off to the gallery for one ... which one will I choose?

CASology Guest Designer - Week #260
I'm the lucky one who gets to play cards as a Guest Designer at CASology this week - how did that happen? one may ask... because I built this house of paper, and turned it into a card!
This week, Melissa gave us this fun cue:
It brought me back to my beginnings as a card-maker, and a card I made long ago as my first ever guest designer spot... I'd link the post, but I didn't even have a blog then!! Their cue word was WET! and yes, it was for CASology. I couldn't believe it when I reached for the same stamp set for JUICY!!
You notice I said NEWS not GOSSIP! It was a tough call =]
Thanks, Melissa, for the honor of guesting again! and thank YOU all for the visit!

These fabulous E. H. Hinged Alphas made quick work of my message!
Design defined:
Even big, graphic die cuts can be CAS if just a touch of color is added to lots of white!
