TWO challenges, one card!

Hello again!

I haven't had much time for making cards - several 'springtime' projects going on in the Ferguson household - one that has been on tap for nearly 10 years!  SO happy to finally have shelves that pull out of a big cabinet in my kitchen.  Now, to do something about my laundry 'room' that can hardly be called that... while I wait for my new cabinet to arrive, there is time to play cards! yay!

I seldom can find a time when I make a card that fits more than one challenge - nor do I set out with a plan for that... except today, I did!  Here are the challenges I'm entering: Color Hues #127 and The Paper Players #773.

and...

Once again, my sweet tooth got the best of me... inspired by
that wonderful little cake, the peachy polka dotted balloon and
candles - I 'baked' my own cupcake using the colors from Color Hues!

An old Sizzix EF inked on the debossed side; Candles and sentiment from
C&9th's Let it Shine - I added the little snips of white to mimic those
in the photo inspiration from the Paper Players;
frosting created with Pretty Pink Posh's Shoreline Borders; and
cupcake paper made using a SU! Crimped EF!

And voila! One card - two challenges!  and I even used ribbon which I seldom do!
=] Michele

Thanks, Color Hues and The Paper Players for the shoutouts!

Michele, your creativity never ceases to amaze me! Every bit of the cupcake you "baked" is brilliant and I love the peach peeking through the large polka dot die cut. So, so fun! I'm so glad you had time away from your house projects (sounds wonderful!) to join both the Paper Players and Color Hues!

I'm wanting a cupcake now! Your icing reminds me of the icing my mom used to make that I could never duplicate! The use of these shades of teal and peach are so sweet (sorry), and I'm loving those striped candles and dotty background! I'm so glad to see you at Color Hues this go round!

Love your cupcake and debossed background. I thought it was a die cut at first. Very creative way to make the whole cupcake. Love the "frosting".

Yummiest cupcake I've seen in ages! Brilliant idea for the frosting and, of course, you had to bring the crimper out for the cup! Such a pretty peach shade. The debossed panel is the BEST! Every detail takes it one more step beyond fabulous!

Home projects can be wonderful, especially if it involves organization and function. So glad they are coming along and you had time to play, Michele. That frosting is very creative and so is your cupcake holder.
