CAS[E] this Sketch #155

Chrissy's up this week with another super tricky sketch ... she is just so good at keeping us on our creative toes!!

I've taken a very literal approach this week - you know when you've got the perfect tools, why not use them?  Those little old MFT arrows were on my craft table, and with a bit of creative cutting, they've done the trick.  Add a few chosen W&W words, and there you go!

Hope you like it - if not, there are some cards to LOVE from my team-mates at the CTS blog!

For Chrissy, and CTS 155:

Thanks for the visit - we'd love to see some creative cutting from YOU in the gallery this week as it always makes us smile!

I'm betting your tired of me! one last card for the Mix

One final card for the Ellen Hutson/MFT Mix it Up challenge - I just couldn't let that positive-ly darling fabulous die-cut go to waste!

Same papers, and products as I used with card 2:  MFT Wood you Be Mine's plank of wood just makes me smile ... and that sentiment?  Perfect match for that gorgeous 'fabulous' die cut from E.H.

A little shout out to Lindsey Larson, who included these darling little wooden dots with December's 12 Kits of Occasions kit.... so happy to use them here!

So happy that you've stuck it out with my multiple posts, everyone!  Thanks, ever so much, for your kind words!

The Card Concept 46

The Card Concept  has once again lured me in with an incredible graphic for challenge 46:
Just look at the gorgeous texture, the darling heart-shaped marshmallow, and you know this Michigan girl cannot resist a mitten!  Bingo!  How's about a mitten-shaped-mallow?

Here is a little close-up of the mitten-mallow - I used fun foam for a little dimension, and floatation!

I've borrowed a favorite commercial catch-phrase of my childhood - read all about it here - and given it a new meaning in a way only my goofy brain could!  Hope they/you 'get it.'  [I think my Coffee/tea/cocoa lovin' friends might]

Supplies:  PTI holiday Plaid; the tail from a Paper Smooches book-mark;
and the star of the show: Wplus9 Holiday Cheer mitten die, cut from a snippet of water-color paper for the perfect texture, and basic circle stackers for my little signature cup.

Second helpings to Mix it Up!

Banner-MIX-it

To me?  MFT and Ellen's Essentials are a match made in card-making-heaven for their Mix it Up challenge!  It was virtually impossible for me to stop at just one .. or two for that matter!

Can you see the knot?  I hope so, or the sentiment would be kinda wrong ... here is a little close-up, just in case:

For this mix up, I've used the Totally Fabulous by Julie die - yes, it was a thank you gift, but I'm hoping they'll offer it with the next release? - a few more Wonky MFT rectangles, and MFT Wood You be Mine stamps by LJD.  That little word You're is a BB You're Super stamp.

Now you know I'll be back with a card using all those left-overs, right?  I'll be sending these off to Winter's Cards from the Heart Card Drive so the more the merrier!

Mix it Up Challenge

Banner-MIX-it

I was so happy to see Ellen Hutson's Mix it Up with My Favorite Things!!!  As Julie would do, there was some monkey clapping goin' on 'round here!  As if that was not enough, I heard a bit of pig squealin', too!

My Mix Up:  Mondo Magnolia [sentiment] and MFT Birdie Brown's The Whole Herd!

Can you believe my MFT wonky stitches arrived just as I finished my stamping?  PERfect timing, indeed!  And just in case Ms. J. stops by - I'm diggin' that splatter technique!!!

Freshly Made Sketches #218

Another great sketch from Freshly Made Sketches to get our year started on a good footing.  Here is Kim's sketch:

I've taken the phrase 'across the pond' quite literally today ...

I can barely wait to make that crossing again ... one day!

Hope your week has a great start ... and thanks, always, for stopping by!
