Freshly Made Sketches #742

You might notice right off the bat that I've tipped Amy's Freshly Made Sketch #742 this week to accommodate my elements a bit.  Isn't that the best part of using a sketch as inspiration?  We think so.

Marcia gave me this Harvest Home set from The Greetery and it's perfect for all four
of the season's we enjoy in Michigan.  Right now, it's sum-sum-summertime
and on a windy day you can see so many wonderful sail boats out on the
Big Lake - palm trees on the beach?  Not so much... but I don't miss them.

That poor little boat might be battening down the hatches on the
rough waters I've created with Simon Hurley's Bark embossing folder.
BTW the sailboat, umbrella, palm tree, sun and sentiment are all from
The Greetery's Destination Summer set of stamps and dies.

I can't wait to see what YOU all create using sketch #FMS742 this week!

This leaf brought back a memory from childhood of a children's book Tom Thumb. Such a fun scene floating on the pretty leaf, Michele! So creative and fun!

You sure are getting more use out of that leaf than I ever did Michele...I think it landed right where it was meant to go! Your little Summer scene you created on that leaf is so sweet and I'm loving the "rough" waters you made with the bark embossing folder too! Wonderful card my friend!! Hugs. :0)

I remember seeing your earlier cards with the Harvest Home set and admiring them. Your summery beach scene is wonderful, paired with Simon's "bark" folder. Such a creative take on Amy's sketch!

While I was scrolling through posts, I saw this card on the fsm post. I don't look at the names just a quick glance through the cards...this one stood out so much for me. I thought it was a "Michele" card. So I grinned when I opened your post. Fabulous.

Just look what you did! So cute and clever! That's the way to get the most from your supplies. I love the beach scene, and the bark folder looks just like rough seas. Brilliant, Michele!

How delightful to make your summer scene on a leaf, Michele. Your lake is clear blue despite the rough waters.

What a great summer card! I have this stamp set and never would have thought to make a beach scene using it. I'll have to pull mine out and see if I can channel your creativity. I just got back from CA., visiting my son and his family and I see I've missed some amazing cards.
