You might notice right off the bat that I've tipped Amy's Freshly Made Sketch #742 this week to accommodate my elements a bit. Isn't that the best part of using a sketch as inspiration? We think so.
Marcia gave me this Harvest Home set from The Greetery and it's perfect for all four
of the season's we enjoy in Michigan. Right now, it's sum-sum-summertime
and on a windy day you can see so many wonderful sail boats out on the
Big Lake - palm trees on the beach? Not so much... but I don't miss them.
rough waters I've created with Simon Hurley's Bark embossing folder.
BTW the sailboat, umbrella, palm tree, sun and sentiment are all from
The Greetery's Destination Summer set of stamps and dies.
I can't wait to see what YOU all create using sketch #FMS742 this week!

This leaf brought back a memory from childhood of a children's book Tom Thumb. Such a fun scene floating on the pretty leaf, Michele! So creative and fun!
You sure are getting more use out of that leaf than I ever did Michele...I think it landed right where it was meant to go! Your little Summer scene you created on that leaf is so sweet and I'm loving the "rough" waters you made with the bark embossing folder too! Wonderful card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
I love those little Destination elements--they look great on your leaf! And that background--wowza! Such texture is amazing!
I remember seeing your earlier cards with the Harvest Home set and admiring them. Your summery beach scene is wonderful, paired with Simon's "bark" folder. Such a creative take on Amy's sketch!
Stinkin' adorable and a fab use of the sketch, Michele! Perfect, rough waters or not...
While I was scrolling through posts, I saw this card on the fsm post. I don't look at the names just a quick glance through the cards...this one stood out so much for me. I thought it was a "Michele" card. So I grinned when I opened your post. Fabulous.
Just look what you did! So cute and clever! That's the way to get the most from your supplies. I love the beach scene, and the bark folder looks just like rough seas. Brilliant, Michele!
That bark folder sure makes for some great water and that little leaf scene is super cute. This is just fabulous, my friend!
Sweet! This card has it all ... love the sum-sum-summertime on the ocean! :) xx
What a great summertime card. Hang on little buddy, you can do it!
Oh Michele, I absolutely LOVE this and it so reminds me of our time together and using some of those supplies. what a great idea to use that EF for the sea. Just fantastic!!!!
How delightful to make your summer scene on a leaf, Michele. Your lake is clear blue despite the rough waters.
What a fun card you created with that cute scene on the lovely leaf and the rough waters with the Bark EF is perfect. Great card my friend.
this is so clever. Love the leaf boat and the dessert island beach. Great colours too, as always xx
Oh what fun Michele! Looks like a spot I'd like to be! (Even without the palm trees!) Such a clever way to show a water scene on a leaf! Love it along with that fun EF!
Once again you ROCKED this sketch!! I LOVE the fun way you used those stamps. I want to be you when I grow up. :)
What a fabulous use of the sketch! I love that leaf as a base for your summery scene!
What a great summer card! I have this stamp set and never would have thought to make a beach scene using it. I'll have to pull mine out and see if I can channel your creativity. I just got back from CA., visiting my son and his family and I see I've missed some amazing cards.
Now that's my kind of island... is there a swim up bar? lol.
What a darling scene, Michele! I love it!
This feels like Summer! I love your beachy scene and how it works with the sketch!
As always, your details are just delightful. I love how you combined all your elements into this summery card.
This is so perfect for summer! I love the texture and I love that leaf! So fun!
