Concord & 9th Color Club: Plumberry

Concord & 9th started their Color Club as a way to introduce their new colors to those of us who love their inks and colored cardstock.  I love getting those emails which included an invitation for all of us to play along in their first color challenge.

Plumberry is the challenge color and just one of the new colors for 2025:

#PLUMBERRYC9COLORCHALLENGE

As much as I loved the color palettes they've suggested, I loved combining
Plumberry with a few of my favorites of all their papers using their
Friendly Florals die set and these papers starting from the top left flower:
Plumberry
Fig
Lemongrass - flower center and panel
Artichoke - stems and leaves
Cobblestone - for banner
Pebble - shadow layer of 'smile' [from C&9th's Potpourri die set]

You'll be seeing lots of these stitch lines in the future - made
using Concord & 9th's Kristina's Finishing Touches dies.
[it's almost as wonderful as that old MFT stitching set I've had for years!]

If you feel like I haven't been around much lately you're right - I've re-embraced my 'chef-y' side and dove headfirst into the art of pasta making.  It was briefly touched during my training at culinary school but nothing like the lessons I'm learning from watching Pasta Grannies on YouTube!  If you want to get lost for an hour or twelve watch these wonderful Italian women - the youngest I've watched so far is 87!  Pasta Grammar and Helen Rennie are two others that have taken some of the mystery out of pasta making and shaping and introduced me to many I wasn't familiar with, too.

If you're in the neighborhood I'm happy to make you a plate of Potato Gnocchi - to die for!

Until next time - take care, enjoy life, and thanks so much for stopping by today!
=] Michele

I love pasta! My daughter-in-law introduced us to gnocchi many years ago and it's still a favorite! Enjoy your adventures, and do share more, please. Love your mix of colors on this card, Michele.

Mmmm, gnocchi is my favorite pasta! I like to buy it fresh and do my own thing with it, which includes lots of mozzarella, butter, and juice from the pepperoncini jar. You go, Michele! Love your card and those fabulous stitching lines. Plumberry is as pretty as it sounds. You did such a nice job of bringing these colors and the design together!

Sounds like you are having fun in the kitchen. Love your pretty card and that Plumberry color is so pretty. I love the stitched lines on the base and the Lemongrass panel. Thanks for your comment on my card. Sorry to say that Grapefruit Grove color in a retired SU color. Maybe they will bring it back some day as they done other colors. Have a great weekend my friend.

Oh I’m pretty sure that gnocchi is gone by now and lucky are the ones who got to devour it! We are (Japanese) pasta lovers here and the grandkids love to slurp udon and ramen any chance they get!! I love C&9th’s Color series—you did an exceptional job on the challenge!

I got a bunch of C9s paper but didn't know about the color challenge. Your use of their papers with that daisy set is stunning, Michele.

This sure makes me smile and so do those sweet stitched lines! Went shopping, but they're out of stock ;) Pretty card, Michele. Joe is in to the homemade pasta thing too! Are you going to force me to come to Michigan for one of YOUR chef-y sessions!

Your card is amazing, as always and I am pleased to hear that you have lost yourself in something else. I am glad you are enjoying it. I hope you get some takers for your offer, otherwise all that pasta won't be doing your waistline much good, especially if it is too good to resist xx

Gnocchi I just adore it can come for tea ! I make a fantastic sauce with parmesan and truffle which would be perfect but not as perfect as that fabulous card. The colours are amazing and I will be hunting down that stitched die I can see so many uses for it. Thanks once again for the inspiration and the enablement.
